Unsure. We will find out soon what the market things. Net debt not helpful but understandable and 2021 should be strong given delays from last year

"As a result of the Group's strong sales performance earlier in the year, and the significant shortfall in legal completions due to the Covid-19 lockdown, the Group enters the new financial year with a record order book of £1.42bn (2019: £1.02bn) of which c70% in terms of revenue is contracted".

The Times is reporting (pre results weds) "Like its peers, Redrow enjoyed a recovery in sales activity after restrictions on moving home were lifted in May and reported a record order book of £1.4 billion in July. Analysts will be looking for evidence that the recovery has continued."

I cant see any info on a reported record order book in July..Can anyone point me in the right direction?

TIA

They sold leasehold. But it all depends on how? Did they miss sell or mis represent? They haven't been mentioned by the CMA so that is is positive but it does mean there's a cloud over the sector..

Redrow also sold leasehold homes. Maybe they have resolved all the issues?

The leasehold scandal was a consequence of the Help to Buy scheme, which I believe is flawed.
The government have a lot to answer for the leasehold scandal.

Redrow has always struck me as more ethical. As the share price testifies too..Not named by the CMA..Looks undervalued to me...now why did they pull out of London...looks a bit premature to me...

Jefferies have reduced their target price a little, from 675p to 653p whilst maintaining their ‘buy’ rating.

Boris talked about their FIRST HOMES SCHEME.

It looks like it's a replacement for Help to Buy and is likely to cost HBs money.

"With the average new-build home costing £314,000, first-time buyers using the scheme will save an average of £94,000, while those putting down a 20% deposit will need to save £18,000 less."
