27/11/2015 12:44 | incredible.......or scandalous if it was MMs playing games! | melf
27/11/2015 12:33 | The price action today has been incredible. | solrei
27/11/2015 12:25 | Woodcutter , I share your thoughts. However your last two sentences provide great double entendre value! | silverfern
27/11/2015 12:23 | I would like to think that aviva sell has been moped up by some other institutions and they've still a pretty large holding. Will be interesting to see if they continue to offload, that would be a concern. At this stage perhaps a bit of profit taking? wc | woodcutter
27/11/2015 12:21 | Aviva have sold their indirect holding of 1.2m shares leaving them with 13m odd directly owned. Hardly earth moving. Now 15p off todays bottom of 139. | hillbrown
27/11/2015 12:18 | sometimes i feel like i'm in a casino, investor sentiment never ceases to amaze me despite 30 years of doing this. shorts now getting squeezed. someone in the background putting a large buy order in? woody | woodcutter
27/11/2015 12:18 | Would appear Aviva have been reducing. Now below 14% threshold. Holding(s) in Company - | speedsgh
27/11/2015 12:18 | I have an core holding at 66p avg but couldn't resist buying some traders for 144p for some fun......let's see. | melf
27/11/2015 12:11 | I think the price drop to 139 was inexplicable. I was not able to buy at that price but am very happy to have paid 145. | hillbrown
27/11/2015 12:04 | There are known knowns. There are things we know that we know. There are known unknowns. That is to say there are things that we now know we don't know. But there are also unknown unknowns. There are things we don't know we don't know. Donald Rumsfeld, pure genius i think it's the one in the middle! woody | woodcutter
27/11/2015 11:54 | Lest we forget Redde's positive AGM statement, 29th October: "Sales show an increase over the corresponding period last year reflecting stronger trading volumes and the commencement of new contracts. As a consequence, trading profits are ahead of our expectations and the corresponding period last year. Early indications are that this trend has continued during October and the Board remains confident about the Group?s prospects for the financial year as a whole. The Group is seeing an increasing level of new business opportunities and is well placed to take advantage of these opportunities to grow revenue and profits with no undue increase in working capital." | bruceylegs
27/11/2015 11:47 | yep bonkers if you ask me, we haven't even been through the review process yet, mass panic on an unknown outcome. Aviva hold over 14% how likely are they to want to see REDD in trouble. Woodford and Hargreave aren't stupid either. The whole function of companies like REDD is to provide support to the main insurers because they can do it cheaper than the insurers themselves. And the insurers can then concentrate on what they do best; sales and investing the proceeds of the premiums. I may have entered a little early today on the back of cloud support but i've built a substantial holding here now at just below breakeven excluding dividends so i'm happy to continue to hold and ride out the noise. Nearly topped up again but will let it settle, as you also noted, before adding further. And it's nothing like QPP woody | woodcutter
27/11/2015 11:30 | A strangely delayed reaction to the small print of the Autumn Statement if that's all that's behind this savage correction. That's AIM for you. | steeplejack
27/11/2015 11:24 | Unless i'm missing something it seems to me that if there's an arrangement where by the insurer no longer pays a claim in cash for a whip lash injury but is willing to cover the medical treatment then in those cases where there's a genuine need there'll still be a claim to process. And the likelihood is the process will be outsourced and there'll most likely still be a legal requirement to ensure the claim is settled properly. Going forward beyond 2017 there may be fewer claims and the business will adjust accordinglly but the scale of REDD business is far larger than whiplash claims. now on a per of around 14 with a yield of around 7% aimho woody | woodcutter
27/11/2015 11:09 | Trouble is the shorters can potentially have rather a lot of fun with an AIM stock in this Quindell blighted sector.I won't be buying until they settle. | steeplejack
27/11/2015 10:54 | It's likely to be heavily shorted now i suspect. When the shorts close the rise back could well be as dramataic as the falls. wc | woodcutter
27/11/2015 10:33 | accumulated woody | woodcutter
27/11/2015 10:25 | No RNS!! Let it drop I want more. All the best. | toyin
27/11/2015 10:22 | RNS really needed here. | fizzypop
27/11/2015 10:17 | Fairpoint statement has stopped the drop for them so it would be useful for REDDE to do something similar. | pistonbroke1
27/11/2015 10:12 | Seems a rather ridiculous over reaction imv. There are two businesses within the group that deal with personal injury claims New Law which covers a wider area of personal injury claims not just vehicle claims Principia which seems to be solely vehicle claims The remaining busineses cover the majority of the revenue streams so the sell off when it abates will provide an excellent opportunity to accumulate. Can't see any impact on the business in the near term. woody | woodcutter
27/11/2015 09:59 | Seems a bit of an over reaction considering. | pistonbroke1
27/11/2015 09:57 | The selling started before the Autumn statement. | solrei
27/11/2015 08:51 | If you have not picked up on the reasons for Reddes share price drop yet then Fairpoints statement this morning explains it. | scotch broth
27/11/2015 08:15 | Nothing goes up in a straight line.I'm wondering whether the change to "whiplash" treatment might be interpreted as being modestly detrimental for the company's work rate but I'm clutching at straws.I sold two thirds of my holding in the mid 170s if only because I felt the rating was pretty much up with events. The stock has had a fantastic run.Looking to buy back if they slip towards 150p. | steeplejack |
