Crude oil prices gain on risk-on and supply concerns. (OILUKOCT22 & OILUSSEP22)
Oil prices tumbled on Monday and extended their decline overnight in Asia as demand concerns were aggravated by a slide in China and European PMIs while the US ISM manufacturing PMI also weakened. Meanwhile, improved supply from Libya weighed, as the country is seen rebounding to producing 1.2mb/d after a series of disruptions that halved supply. WTI futures slid below $94/barrel and Brent was also seen below the $100 mark.

"hints of cash raising"

What an absolute shocker! Can it be true?

For the 74th time?

I can hardly believe such a thing!

The market isn't all that impressed it would seem with Burkino Faso. On top of that no news on EOC and DRC plus hints of cash raising. So despite holding quite a lot of shares matters are tending to slip on boredom and concern.
However, I retain my personal valuation if DRC and EOC go well at 2p-3p. As to NBGC it has value just the IPO date is of concern - if it floats in Australia then UK investors will not be allowed to take part.

Excellent interview that has clarified so much. I am now expecting weekly interviews revealing new information about absolutely believable progress grounded in reality.

This is an entirely new Ettie 2.0

Whoosh.

RRR appear to have just been sold down though whether more 1m share plus selling is finished is only a guess. The shares are always high risk but look an OK 'gamble'. 0.54p - 0.57p looks a comfortable 'punt' price to pay IMHO. As inferred, not really an investment more a fun party stock to hold that may or should come up trumps.

I've edged my holding back up to 8m shares on the recent reversal in the share price. Despite this it is obvious no final decision has been inked in as far as the Arbitration in DRC is concerned and rumour or fact as to hinted outcome are covered by these words I think: doubt, dubiety, mistrust, scepticism, and suspicion - may be some dubiety in the quality of doubt at this stage is involved in all this.

TENKE FUNGURUME MINE, THE DRC-BEIJING ALLIANCE

The Tenke Fungurume Mine (TFM) is Kinshasa’s biggest copper and cobalt mine and one of the world’s top cobalt mines. According to Bloomberg, it accounted for about 14 per cent of global cobalt production last year and is also a significant foreign earner for DRC.

Located in Lualaba Province (formerly Katanga Province), the Tenke Fungurume Mining SA (TFM) is 80 per cent owned by China Molybdenum Co. Ltd (CMOC) and 20 per cent by Gécamines, Congo’s state-owned mining firm. In 2008, stakes in TFM and several other mines were offered to China in exchange for infrastructural development by the former government of President Joseph Kabila.

Recently, a court barred new export deals from the mine until its shareholders agreed on a new sales contract. Gecamines had accused CMOC of lying about its mineral reserves. The state-own minority shareholder claimed that the Chinese partner owes $7.6 billion in royalties and interest.

The Tenke Fungurume Mine (TFM) plays a significant role in the DRC economy. In 2018, TFM paid over $2.5 billion to the public treasury and other administrative services since its inception in 2006. As of December 2020, the mine was estimated to hold 176.8 million tonnes (Mt) of recoverable ore reserves grading 2.1 per cent copper and 0.30 per cent cobalt. It is also projected to sustain 32 years of mining operations at an annual ore production rate of 5.54Mt.

Mining in DRC is a common means of livelihood for its mountain people. There are 476 named mountains in Congo-Kinshasa with vast untapped mineral wealth. The country ranks among the top mineral-rich nations in the world. According to African Mining IQ, the DRC has an estimated $24 trillion in untapped deposits of cobalt, copper, diamonds, gold, and other minerals like zinc, tin and potash in its copper belt. That explains why DRC has over 100 mining projects, with about 80 per cent in development stages. Foreign investors and companies own most of these projects.

The GBP is determined to continue its downward path against the USD. Even if it recovers a bit the shorters in the US are putting $ billions to make sure it continues on down.

The only way for a sudden reversal is to put interest rates at the next BOE meeting up to 6% and promise more to come. For PM Truss to cancel plans to reduce NI contributions for the second half of the year and raise large sums from oil companies. Make gas distributors put 50% of their profits back in to reduce rates to customers. Put a price cap for gas and electricity to very small companies mainly shops etc.

None of the above will happen so curtains for the £ and AB MAYBE joyous when dollars flow in from DRC - we hope.

Kenya's Presidential Election has been upheld.
Supreme Court Upholds Ruto’s Kenyan Presidential Election Win

Kenya’s Supreme Court upheld William Ruto’s victory in last month’s presidential election, dismissing his rival Raila Odinga’s claims that the vote was marred by rigging and irregularities.

The petition is dismissed, the seven-member court said in a unanimous decision read by Chief Justice Martha Koome on Monday.

The official results showed Ruto, currently the deputy president, winning 50.5% support in the Aug. 9 vote and Odinga, a former prime minister, 48.8%. The judgment paves the way for Ruto, 55, to be sworn in as President Uhuru Kenyatta’s successor next week.
