The reason they aren't trading lower is the BOD put the RNS update out at 1030 hrs, so a lot of people will have missed it. This is a really underhand practise, which will be badly viewed by many, as effectively trying to hide the results. Another Shockingly bad update again. I feel sorry for the share holders on this one. Its only the big shareholders (owners) propping up this company by providing cash whenever it is needed to secure their investment. Otherwise it would go under or have to refinance again. I was tempted to buy in at 19p as a punt, but this just seems such a badly run company that I have no faith in the Management to turn it around any time soon. Sorry Rich

What an absolute mismanaged crock this company is. Where is the shareholder value supposed to come from? This company traded at 2p a few years back! I'm only surprised the shares aren't back at that level.

Why not a high fat tax as well? Sugar is only a small part of the problem. People become obese due to a high fat diet, too much sugar and a lack of exercise, probably in that order of cause.

Sugar is proving to be a problem for Premier Foods It will be one here also , and at many other Food manufacturers Governments will have to move in 2018 with a sugar tax to save the NHS from going bust due to the strains being placed upon it

Good money after bad comes to mind - Turnover vanity - profit sanity - IMO the latter possilby could apply to all managment especially past - 10% interest on bonds scalpers fee but justifiable as significant (imo) chance they might not get all funds back - Watching as could be nice business but DEBT potentially a killer. barnetpeter> You were wise to take the action you did - I never thought the trading update would be as bad as my interpretation of the sneeky one put out on effectivly Chrismas Eve when all departed the City Question for all - What price when Market opens ?

Yes, disgraceful behaviour continues. Unfortunately I have some interest through Downing. Why they invested in this dog is a mystery? It's quite clearly a low margin sub scale food manufacturer with a big appetite for capital and awful cash flow.

Gutless RNS out after hours today just before Xmas, I thought this company couldn't sink much lower in terms of how it's handled. Are the FCA investigating Pieter Totte, of course they aren't. Regulation of the stock market is a shambles, so many CEO's and directors should be serving prison sentences however it seems that generally nobody gives a toss. I don't hold any shares but watch with interest.

Decided to sell out for the moment. On reflection the debt situation could lead to a new equity placing or some form of discount fundraising. Interest rates going up could hurt too. Made a very small profit having bought at the lows but maybe this is just too risky at the moment and upside is low.

No I disagree. I reckon this will be a big winner in 2018 as all the bad news is being cleared out now. I wont add any until a bit lower though Another rights maybe?

Interesting:- Great t/o - Debt could probably kill the business - Can see it being taken private on the cheap by major shareholders- Ideal target for vulture funds but probably (imo) PI's - even buying at this price - will end up in tears - Any contrary views ?

I would imagine that Real Good Food shareholders will now find this not very palatable Real Good Food PLC Company Update 29/08/2017 The Company announced on 1 August 2017 that it anticipated EBITDA for the year ended 31 March 2017 would be lower than market expectations at approximately GBP2.0m, subject to final audit. Since the announcement of 1 August, a review has been undertaken, under the guidance of the Company's new Finance Director, which is now expected to lead to additional audit adjustments relating to inter-company trading and consolidation. As a result of these additional adjustments, the Board now expects EBITDA for the year ended 31 March 2017 to be in the region of GBP1.0m. The Company's banking facility is subject to customary terms, conditions and covenants which are tested quarterly, with the next date at which the Company's banking covenants will be tested being 30 September 2017. The Board is in discussions with its bankers to vary certain conditions of this facility to reflect the Company's recent and anticipated trading. In addition, the Board is pleased to announce that its major shareholders, NB Ingredients Ltd, Omnicane International Investors Ltd, and certain funds managed by Downing LLP have confirmed that they will, if required, provide additional funds to support the Company's working capital requirements. The Group now expects to announce its Final Results for the year ended 31 March 2017 on 29 September 2017.

The real kicker is that while shareholders are supportive of supplying extra funds I suspect they will REQURE BOTH ARMS AND A LEG in interest charges so PI's will be stuffed - This is (imo) one of the walking dead for the forseeable future.
