52 week low... isn't it a 2.5 year low?

All RCH has done really, for the past 2.5 years is go down.

It's such a tedious stock!

I was thinking the same, but didn't quite have the optimism to say it.

First thing Alexa told me this morning is that RCH is at a 52 week low! I think i might switch that feature off now. People getting out with losses here. Complete confidence loss.

As we' said before. Give me the £5 or £10 per month online service without the pop ups and I'll sign up today.

Don’t get me wrong Zho. Shareholders are also baffled on the strategy

Looking forward to the bounce when he gets fired and/or when a strategy becomes clear

Yes, I think that's fair, but so, to me at least, are these comments from the orignal Daily Drone article:

"The strategy of Mullen and the Reach board is becoming increasingly baffling to observers of the news business. Mullen seems intent on running down the newspapers to concentrate on the website.

"Yet the papers are still believed to be the group’s biggest source of income. The website is widely regarded as difficult to read between the pop-up ads, frequently inaccurate and littered with stories lifted from other publications."

The Guardian reported it on their News page not Finance, it is therefore highly slanted to their political stance. The financial impact is obviously beneficial.

I can't find reference to it on the Reach website but the Q4 trading update looks like it is going to be released tomorrow.

I understand there should also be a judgement on the costs for the Prince Harry case (I assume the other cases as well) this month, so hopefully that is a catalyst to get things moving.

A pretty depressing January so far for small caps I must say . Hope it’s not a precursor to another dismal year, 22 and 23 already extremely poor

And we could end up in a 'Smiths News" scenario here. Check out how that (proclaimed dying) business is doing. Not so bad

Downtowns don't usually happen when everybody is worried (like now). Downturns come as a surprise (to most) when the market is over-optimistic and too much good news is priced in. Not a lot of that at the moment (apart from a few rare sectors). Even the US is quite fairly priced if you strip out a few select players and sectors. The US (measured across about 9000 companies) is trading pretty much bang on the 10yr avg PE (and that includes the highly priced sectors and that also includes the period between 2020-2022 where US PE's were very high).
