19/12/2023 09:19 | looks to be a positive development for the media industry www.axelspringer.com Per the FT: The agreement, worth tens of millions of euros a year, will allow the ChatGPT creator to use content from titles such as Politico, Bild and Business Insider. It reflects much of what the industry has been puzzling over all year: how to value content archives that can stretch back for decades while creating an income stream from new journalism. | muzerewa

15/12/2023 12:39 | Yeah he only won on 14 of the 33 cases or something . | john09
15/12/2023 12:17 | The time bar is crucial. Harry only getting under half and less than offered is an immediate saving as well. 78p now a sure thing and a follow-up of improved ad sales will get us back into profits on recent share purchases. | harry_david

15/12/2023 11:44 | “ Impact on historical legal issues provision GBP45.4m(1) The provision for historical legal issues provides for known claims, potential future claims and common costs. The impact of the judgment on legal limitation is expected to reduce the number of live claims, and substantially limit and bar all or most future claims. Full details will be reported in the full year results(2).” | john09
15/12/2023 11:42 | Nice one too | babbler
15/12/2023 11:23 | Very interesting results on this case so far, the Prince Harry figure of £140,600 is less than what I thought was offered at £200k so both parties should have to cover their costs which is as important as the figure, hopefully this is confirmed. Two cases have also been time barred so far which is very important to deter future claimants. | swynemap
15/12/2023 11:07 | Harry wins majority of claims. | northwards
15/12/2023 10:56 | I'm not sure how long these court cases take to pass judgement but it looks like we are close to getting a verdict of the latest MGN phone hacking case. In total there looks to be 137 claimants but some of these could have done out of court settlements already. hxxps://thomsonheath Not sure things why things have been so quiet on this but the result could cause a massive swing to the share price, they've got a £45.4m provision for this as of the half year report this year. | swynemap
06/12/2023 19:51 | #7541. I'm not sure where you could find any positives in Mullen's mismanagement in order to create "balance". Fuller's alleged dip into LDI's didn't do RCH any favours either. A £138m pension deficit reduction in 2021 was left in tatters when total funds valuation of £2.63B at 26/12/21 was reduced to £1.71B at 26/12/22. Setting Mullen's forecasts of growth in all areas (including journalism, lol) against his actual achievements - the following summarises why we are where are and, imo, points to who's responsible: The terrible cluttered lay out of these last two pdfs mirror (sorry) the many complaints about RCH's website designs. It's no surprise investors got turned off. | masergt

28/11/2023 09:28 | well said Extrader, John I see you have been called out yet again for your slanted self serving rhetoric. John 09 has also created various alias' (e.g Sihkthetech) and I'm sure this new thread is full of his alias' reinforcing his views. He trashes/talks down any stock he is not invested in (or just sold - or missed buying - e.g Good) and trashes anyone who challenges his views. He celebrates other investors losses. Appalling behaviour that's been going on for way too long. | oldboy1

26/11/2023 15:17 | Share price looks like its starting to curl upwards to me Probably why a competitor has decided to have a dig this weekend. Not least since that competitor is offering free digital subscription and then £1 a mont because its so desperate | john09
26/11/2023 13:55 | There is an article on page 29 of today’s Sunday Telegraph about Reach . Titled ‘ How Resch’s boss’s digital transition left papers staring into the abyss ‘ , the article takes up about a third of a page . It’s not at all flattering about Jim Mullen . I sold my holding in Reach a couple of years ago and have no intention of returning , but good luck to all here . I hope you find the Sunday Trlegraph article useful . | mrnumpty |
