14/6/2024 07:22 | More good news, keep it coming well done lads, let's see if you can persuade the rest of the board to purchase some. | ![]() simon_64
13/6/2024 19:32 | We have to move away from fossil fuels because as the less developed countries demand their fair share oil/gas will become evermore expensive and resources depleted. That should be the motivation for renewables not some fancy dogma on saving the planet. | ![]() fireplace22
13/6/2024 18:32 | Simon It's true that WN seemed a good opportunity a few years ago,but the oil and gas business has changed a lot since then. I think this is why the majors are moving out of the north sea.The tax problem was introduced by the conservatives, and I doubt it will change much with any party after the election - I don't trust any of them. I think any reasonable BOD would consider some sort of different strategy at the moment. | ![]() aspect100
13/6/2024 18:02 | Buy order being filled. | ![]() simon_64
13/6/2024 17:42 | Simon, I hope you are not doubting Starmers veracity! | ![]() fireplace22
13/6/2024 17:36 | aspect our foray into the US has turned into an unmitigated disaster all thanks to Kamran Sattar. Hopefully the labour government will start to see a bit of sense once they are in. West Newton will be sold off once production levels are established. Parta has excellent prospects and grants and E.U funding available, but the operator A.D.X is putting all their resources into their Austrian prospects at the moment. Colle Santo should hopefully come to fruition. A.T.B | ![]() simon_64
13/6/2024 16:36 | With this tax problem,RBD are like ENQ,UJO,and the other oil outfits in the UK. I bought this last week because they may be a possibility they will get out of the UK altogether - something like UJO is doing in the US - lower tax,and easier regulations. West Newton is going nowhere for years, and like a poster just said, they have messed about for years, and I doubt it will ever make a profit for RBD in the next five years. They had $32 mln that could have been used for something else than buy backs, and trying to get WN into an operative field - it's not going to work. What is WN worth? They should sell it if it's possible, and go somewhere else. The Italian Job seems alright - what about some more assets in the US. All my buys yesterday, and today, went through as sells. | ![]() aspect100
13/6/2024 09:05 | Buried at the foot of today's releasee: The JV is fully funded for re-entry and recompletion and operational activity is anticipated to commence during 2024. Further updates will be provided in due course edit: "releasee" = fat finger, LOL | steelwatch
13/6/2024 09:00 | How long as this west Newton charade gone on for ?I reckon they have messed around for 10 years talking about drilling it ? But I guess the longer it's drawn out, the longer they can pay themselves. I bet it never sees the light of day | ![]() 32campomar
13/6/2024 08:57 | Could be right there | ![]() 32campomar
13/6/2024 08:56 | I thought it was no new granting of licenses. Anyway isn't WN just continuation of an existing project. I don't see why that would be affected. It'll probably take Starmer 10 minutes in No 10 to realise he's dealing in fantasies. | ![]() fireplace22
13/6/2024 08:47 | The incoming Labour government have made it very clear there will be no new oil & gas drilling. | ![]() 32campomar
13/6/2024 08:42 | One hell of a can kick !! 12/6/2024 19:29 | Just bought some of these - RBD is worth about 1p per share. Those two should get only about 20% of that salary until they make a profit. I still think it's worth buying at this price. | ![]() aspect100
11/6/2024 16:31 | It's a toss up who will last longer under Starmer, the country or RBD. | ![]() fireplace22
11/6/2024 16:28 | Call in the fraud squad is all I can say. They should have been brought to book years ago. | ![]() uggy100
11/6/2024 16:01 | Just that Labour will ban all new drilling for oil & gas. West Newton has no chance. Shocking mis management by the BOD here to have dragged WN on and on for years | ![]() 32campomar
