The pump fizzled already ? BMD sold out and mug punters buying at 1.09 this morning. Now shareholders have to prey that results are at least what he has stated or they now will be seen as negative. I was on business all morning so couldn't trade the pump alas.

given the price action post placement...looks as if a couple offloading in 5mln blocks...irrelevant of news, some will always take "a profit"..£25k for a few weeks not bad :)

Bought today. The RNS, as someone mentioned, doesn't deny the rumour, so assume it should be 'roughly' right.

net interest to RBD works out to around 4p-6p a share

So what would a STOIIP of 140mmboe at WN mean for RBD in valuation terms, taking into account recovery factors, net interest and a realistic $/bl metric?

took a bit of a punt on this after the news release...had previous successes with BMD articles and the rns this morning was in no way a denial of the quoted figures

Yea assuming they dont get the higher % Rathlin announced, either way even at say 40% West Newton you are still looking at around 10x current cap in valuation....ofcourse this is all speculation on BMDS article assuming figures are correct.

(But what that relates into market cap is another question but easily multiples.)

adjusted figures then gives us mkt potential valuation of £426-£609mln v current £67mln

so 4p-6p would be a realistic post rns target

In terms of bloggers, BMD does ocassionally deliver useful info.

Can you folk remember, before the actual RNS a few months ago, he was posting articles stating that it was known and already understood that this was now an liquids/oilfield and not primarily a gasfield?

I initially felt it was pure hype over the unknown 'liquids component' in the recently drilled well. The companies all came out and confirmed as such a few weeks later, it was now primarily an oilfield and they even stopped the testing program.

Realistic figure for oil in the ground $10-$11.

70-100million barrels x $10 = $700million-$1billion net to RBD.

And that does not include the other formations etc.

Rumour confirmed in my view, no denial just delay tactic.
Going to make equity swap unlikely at same terms but I've not got a problem with that, lets not get too greedy, would rather they didn't bother with it.
