I once complained and got a reply saying they are allowed 10 working days to credit the dividend. This is due to sorting out discrepancies if their calculations differ from the total amount they receive from the company. They don't distribute the dividend individually until they have agreed and received the correct total amount from company.

Ditto. Not until today did HSBC credit me with my dividend!!!!

They are not fit for purpose. (I shall be adding this event to my ongoing formal complaint)

No sign of a dividend on HSBC InvestDirect . . . . normally pays out on 2-Oct, 3-Oct or 4-Oct . . . what's going on?

IG share dealing are usually good, but no sign of the dividend yet. iWeb as usual are late as well.

HSBC.... (I have an ongoing formal complaint about their tardiness. Strange thing is after each time I complain about so, the next 2 dividends are paid most promptly, then the tardiness returns...)

Both self trade and II manage or managed it on the day .I do have a problem with II and interest payments from PIBS takes a couple of days .Certainly you would expect such as hsbc and Barclays to manage the same day .

Years ago I used to receive all dividends before 10AM.

I doubt very much that applying dividends is a manual exercise.

Are you expectations a bit high Rahosi?

The dividend payment date is today so it arrives in your brokers account today (or maybe late yesterday??). Your broker will have to check the amount has arrived and that the amount is correct before they credit your account and in the case of RAVP consider scrip dividends.

Then they will have to do some form of transaction to apply it to your account.

I think 4 hours to get it done is fair enough.

There seems to be no regulations relating to to timely crediting of dividends on Nominee accounts. A license for them to be sticky with the funds. All I ever get is feeble excuses why they haven't credited the dividends.
