Damp seaweed,

Don't forget vast amounts of gas, gold, silver, coal and already healthy reserves. Probably other commodities too.

Heard that argument since 2008, always paid out, never missed a quarter will only get stronger in my view.

There are a number of external factors that will probably hold back the rise of the share price, namely; Russian political tensions with the west. Internal political tensions, and the economic outlook is not great, particularly as it is so dependent on oil.
I’d expect us to hover in the 120+p area for quite a time. Early next week we may see a small continuation of this most welcome price recovery. But 3p ex div later in the week will knock back the price.

I know this is U.K, but probably applies worldwide.https://www.ft.com/content/cc2dd81d-c957-4c59-b833-9df4e3e7339d

Of course if these were in the U.K. price would be around 200p, for a 6% yield, paid quarterly superb, but of course Russia puts some income investors off, they are a very cautious lot.

If the overhang of shares does get cleared - eventually - here's some yields to price:

160p equals a yield of 7.5%
170p equals a yield of 7%

These are not price targets and I do not suggest they will be achieved in the short term e.g. under 2 years, if ever.

With base rates likely to remain under 3% for a decade or more, I am not in a hurry to sell any RAVP for a short term gain. Happy to keep collecting the high coupons and see what transpires.

These will be back to 140p were they use to bounce along, even then 8.57% yield.

Where else in today's world can you get such a return?

Knight Frank's 2020 Russia report out now.

-Some highlights
-Record warehouse investment
-Little foreign investment
-Industrial and warehouse investment largest share ever - up 1005 on 2019
-Russia credit rating unchanged on 2019 at BBB
-The increased interest of investment funds in diversifying their portfolio by
acquiring modern warehouse complexes with quality tenants, generating stable rental income, was noted.
-We expect that investor interest in warehouse and logistics assets will continue in 2021 with the share of investments in this sector at the level of up to 15-20%.

Overall a positive read for Ravenites.

If it is exceeding my expectation of 4p then even better. I do take the interim as part of this financial year, not as part of the last financial year.

Agree stcm could go much higher that is part of it being more volatile, more scope of both upside and downside and its income is not as safe as ravp as it is operation dependent.

It was 4p in dividends last year for STCM? 3p final and (new) 1p interim - I am expecting 5p for 2021 dividends based on cash flow and the fact debt is pretty much down to zero.

STCM and RAVP would be my top 2 income picks. Agree re-volatility. Though STCM has more potential capital upside as it is fundamentally v undervalued.

Good point, I have a holding in stcm as well first bought at 32p and then topped up at 28 p. Very happy with the income there started at 3p per year and hopefully will be up to at least 4p this year.

However, I do have a much bigger holding in ravp as I think it is less volatile than stcm.

Definitely a plan to push these higher. Wonder where they will end up. At the end of the day the higher the interested parties push it, the more net worth they can claim their holding is worth and the more options they then have. Money make money !

I mainly invest my SIPP in this share and as long as it is below 120, I keep reinvest the dividend to get a compound annual growth of over 10%. Where else in today's world can you get such a return?

These are going higher, but I don't worry about daily price movements has long we get our superb dividend every 13 weeks.

I wouldn't normally do this but today's opening auction showed 2 large orders on the buy side suggesting to me there is good price support here.

I post out of interest as I have little interst in selling. Rather I hope to keep these until I die.

114.7 on the bid for 30,000 had to work an order that size last year. Now they just will have it. Like you say shortage of sellers.

Indeed. If the reason not to was the overhang, that's seemingly gone to diamond hands.
