just write off your entire investment and that'll negate the need to speak to anyone.

At the Company - the receptionist only who said she would ask someone, Company Secretary, to phone me. Still waiting, of course.

did you manage to speak to anyone at the company? The only email I've been able to find is investorrelations@ravenrussia.com which may be out of date. I've tried it anyway, I'll see if there's a response.

Trying to have one of our holdings converted into paper form. Will proceed with this if not too expensive. At least this would allow registration although I doubt there is much to learn.

Anybody have an email address please?

thanks. I spoke to my brokers and they don't care. To be fair there's probably not much they can do, it needs the company to change its policy.

Could the timing be linked to last week's FTSE Quartely reshuffle?

They ought to have warned us they would do this. It's underhand and unprofessional when they've just asked us to vote for delisting to turn around and spit in our eye like this.

Access to RR’s site now for registered investors only and to register an investor code is needed. Seems the code is to be found only on shares certificates.

I asked II and received this as a reply:

“ In the Corporate actions it states that a share certificate will be sent out should there be one issued by the company, however as you hold these stocks in a SIPP Account you will not able to withdraw stocks as a share certificate due to HMRC regulations, therefore if you wish you can continue hold the de-listed stock in your SIPP Account with us or you can transfer that stock to another platform. Sincere apologies for the inconvenience caused.‘

I did ask II to clarify the above to other investors …. But hey ho.

I think there was discussion of this on the Gengulphus CGT thread. If you look back you may find it. I believe the answer was (partly) your ISA provider is obliged to give you a valuation to work with, though you may have to nag them to get a serious one.

If you are forced by ii to take them out of the ISA to an ordinary trading account or to certificate form, how do you value them for tax purposes ?
Eg If the value you used was £1.2 (10% yield) and the sold them outside your ISA for 10p....would you be abe to use this as a tax loss ?
and vice versa if they were valued at 1p and you eventually sold at £1.2 you would be liable to CGT on any gain.
Anyone got a clue ?

If ii won't let you withdraw them then they have no choice but to either to continue to hold them in your SIPP or force a sale (assuming there is a market). However the statement "SIPP....customers. Unlisted shares are not considered a qualifying investment" seems to contradict that...

I have them in an ii sipp. I’m retired and have made cash withdrawals from the sipp. I think it means as withdrawals from there have to be cash because of the tax and lifetime allowance implications, a share transfer can’t be made so they’re stuck in limbo until they are listed again.

I would guess they mean you can't just make withdrawals at will from a SIPP like you can from an ISA or a regular account, there are rules about your age and how much you can take at once. I don't know anything about the other two account types they mention.

I don't hold any in ii but their comment about SIPPs don't make sense. You can't hold them but you can't withraw them. What do they expect you to do then?

[Edit - I did have a SIPP with ii as part of the transfer from EQi, which contained RAVP, but thankfully moved it...phew]

[Edit 2 - not allowing unlisted shares in a SIPP is a decision of ii, not a feature of SIPPs per se, as per the following

hxxps://www.onlinemoneyadvisor.co.uk/pensions/sipps/shared-in-sipps/#can-i-invest-in-unlisted-shares-through-my-sipp

Yes. If you hold a SIPP, you can purchase shares of a private limited company which aren’t traded on a recognised stock exchange.

There may be some stipulations to buying these unlisted, or unquoted equities which could vary according to your SIPP provider.]

Message from ii in the corporate action section of my account.

ISA Customers
Due to restrictions imposed on ISA accounts, unlisted shares are not considered a qualifying investment. If the shares are still held within the ISA account after the delisting date, we will endeavour to move the shares to a linked trading account, opening one on your behalf if you do not already have one. Where that is not possible, we may attempt to withdraw the shares into certificate form, reregistering them into your own name. Certificates received in respect of ISA accounts will no longer be held within the tax efficient wrapper so will lose any tax benefits.

SIPP, Pension Trading Account, and Junior ISA customers
Unlisted shares are not considered a qualifying investment for these accounts and withdrawals are not permitted from these products.
