Agree 84stewart, I've been trading since the early 2000's. I think what your friend says already happened on Friday, a BAD day for a Dow big drop and stress and movements happen all weekend but nothing is done until Monday- we need bonds not to get ahead of themselves, hope the new fed chair doesn't panic etc etc etc, all fundamentals remain good across so many businesses, I see this as a correction- I hope gold stays up and get that dollar back weaker again. I hope people swap stocks into gold mining stocks even if it a "lesser of the evils" and losses don't go further and we're the first and fastest of any bounceback.

Had a word with a friend he said this COULD? GO LOWER as in his words he thinks the MMs have been sniffing the substance as 200+ drop is well over the top ie: if America sneezes we catch cold. dyor

I hope you are right 84stewart, I said to my partner swap out your non gold stocks for gold stocks as surely with gold price on the up, the gold stocks should drop less as people should switch- we'll see- keeping everything crossed for today. If the DRC could turn positive this stock will fly!

Strange non exec director jeanine mabunda lioko is an advisor to DRC government for women rights ,but she is in there and can put her tuppence worth in.
this should pick up today maybe only slightly RRS & dow were OTT

Looks for sure Congo hit, hopefully that's now factored in- along with the other general drops from from Friday from Dow to FTSE, now FTSE to Asia, then today FTSE etc again and so on- at some point this panic not based on anything substantial will cease soon. Of all the stocks I have, with gold on the rise, I would expect my gold holdings to be least impacted of stocks now. Fingers crossed they improve- more on hope than any facts as the fundamentals are still very strong.

Dow is going crazy , over 1000 points down.

The yanks gone wild, cowboys are back with the indians?

Bounce up tomorrow? Hopefully.

Is this a market correction or is it because of the bonds?

Randgold should move upwards tomorrow????

Dow down a grand! or about 4 percent! could be a buying opportunity here tomorrow on any opening drop!

Impact of this link coupled with ftse following dow etc - the hardest day as the drop was
continuous so each time expected it had reached the bottom
hope it has now bottomed and will rise, nasdaq suggest it has bottomed i hope- looks like i’ll be holding this stock for a while to recover over 7%

Awful day- FTSE followed Friday's DOW, then DOW came down today and FTSE follows again after Dow opened- Gold stocks hit like all others, it must be the Congo item that has hammered RRS. Any other theories welcome- I got hit like the rest of you and didn't see such a massive impact. Motley fool- u gotta love it:

Picked some up at £65.22 at the death. Very difficult to get a trade as Hargreaves clogged up with orders presumably. Totally crazy today, no idea about tomorrow.

Drop only a problem if you needed to sell. Good news is shareholders have had a 100% pay rise
