U take the 16 million Newgen loan out of the equation.....They can tread water ....Copper is expected to rise in value4 to 4.5 .... 23it's in the very detrimental position for all institutional investors to chip in to the very low debt issue compared to asset value ....and the predicted loss to main institutional holders.

Ameretto. I hope you are right. The assets are very valuable and more so in the future when copper price will reflect the increased world use of it.

At this stage, a hole dug needs digging out of and whoever responsible walks, and the future looks decent if that happens.

“the authorities have been watching this for some considerable time, both UK and overseas”

How do you know this?

PensionPlanner, I doubt they would of got a placing away with a risky mine not producing enough copper to cover costs and the Newgen debt. The RNS saying they need to raise further cash was the board coming clean, as the game was up.

I suspected there was a reason why Bradbury was camera shy. Well now we know why.

Why hasn’t Toby Bradbury done any promotion interviews? Is he camera shy or keeping a low profile for a reason? And what was the reason for his departure from SHG?

whooppy. They didn't convey the impression of being desperate for cash when share price was 20P+? They had and still have ample opportunity to raise and clear the debt on better terms. They've chosen not to, just like they chose newgen, just like they chose apparently to use a non existent future copper price, and like they chose to smash the share price by an RNS, which is hardly indicative of a company wanting to raise capital or clear a debt in the best manner for shareholders.

Why keep the mine going? It’s never made a profit.

I think RMM were desperate for cash and Newgen was the only deal available to get them out of a hole. The board took a gamble on the mine paying off, but it looks like they failed badly. Newgen take the mine, unless they still think they will make more money keeping it going, but that will require new management at RMM.

U need to Email Newgen in Toronto and express your thoughts ...Also add in a Canadian government minister is looking at the case. It will take you minutes to email them. The whole situation as quite frankly crossed ethical business practice, regarding lending. Institutional holders here are silently confident but applying pressure !

They are clearly in no rush to convert debt to equity at this point. So discussions with Newgen still on going pending a final decision.
