12/4/2012 16:42 | Shame, I was hoping to get some more cheap shares before the May copper startup. Looks like some institutional position building today!? | king suarez
12/4/2012 15:17 | There are still large buys going through, wonder if the Chinese are going for it. | killing_time
12/4/2012 13:11 | There are always delays.Look at Shanta. | redhill
12/4/2012 12:39 | yes , makes a change. | timberwolf3
12/4/2012 12:06 | I know what you mean re AIM miners Snowydays, but i still trust management here and believe the copper production will start soon. Have you guys seen the hugh volume in the shares today!?..... | cfro
12/4/2012 11:16 | Exactly random. Which raises the question of why they would delay the highly profitable copper production in favour of small scale gold production at high cost ($1,000 oz according to Ocean Equuities) when a quarter of that production goes straight to Sandstorm in repayment of the gold loan? It tends to suggest that they are not confident about getting copper production underway. Don't misunderstand me. I am a shareholder and I want to see production underway, and more importantly a rerating of the shares. I am just suspicious of this company and of AIM explorer/miners in general. I have been burned several times with explorers promising imminent production but not delivering. Ramblers strange agreement with Timna is another cause for concern. I find it hard to see how that dilutiomn was in the best interest of shareholders. Presumably there will be two more gold pours, a clearout of the gold trapped in circuit and then we shall see if live commissioning of the concentrator starts or if there are more excuses and delays. | snowydays
12/4/2012 11:09 | Apologies - this is the RMM Fiscal year he was talking about then obviously. | bashers2
12/4/2012 10:47 | (from memory) Wasnt one of the delays to copper production deliberate (e.g. they CHOSE to focus on gold due to the higher price)? regards | randombutton
12/4/2012 10:38 | Processing the 1806 zone before switching over to copper concentrate production may well be construed as a delay to their original time-line for copper production. But given the obvious advantages in doing so, I give management full credit for maximising early cash flow at relatively low cost whilst their gold processing plant was still available. With such a long LoM in prospect for copper production the difference of a few months is neither here nor there in the grand scheme of things IMO. Chip | chipperfrd
12/4/2012 10:30 | Bashers2 RMM's Financial year is to 31st July. So 1Q is Aug-Oct, 2Q is Nov-Jan, 3Q is Feb-Apr & 4Q is May-Jul. | chipperfrd
12/4/2012 10:20 | Q3 2012 is not March/April 2012! | bashers2
12/4/2012 10:18 | What an odd post?! | bashers2
12/4/2012 09:59 | If you look back at the updates KT you will see that as recently as February they were promising live commissioning of the copper concentrator starting Q3 2012, i.e. March/April 2012. Look back further and you will see that copper production was promised last year, and I think the year before that. Might as well try to mine the pot of gold at the end of the rainbow. At least the shareprice now appears to be heading in the right direction. | snowydays
12/4/2012 08:11 | He posts here a lot but rarely has anything good to say about Rambler. | timberwolf3
12/4/2012 08:05 | snowydays, What delays are you talking about, the copper production will start in mid May. | killing_time
11/4/2012 21:32 | "Rambler Metals & Mining's (LON:RMM, CVE:RAB) statement today drew positive comments from broker Ocean Equities. Today, the company reported "encouraging" results from exploration drilling at its Ming gold-copper project in Canada and said mining and processing of gold ore had topped expectations. Exploration drilling in the 1806 zone of Ming mine in Canada returned new visible gold intersections, which, according to Rambler, is a significant discovery for the Ming deposits as it indicated the potential for more undiscovered high grade gold zones. "It has been known for some time that the earlier exploration efforts at Ming were production focused and did not get the full measure of the deposit," said Ocean analyst Christopher Welch. "Rambler now has a de-risked exploration programme ahead of it with a secure revenue source and so it can broaden the exploration effort." The analyst added that Rambler has a fully operational mine, which gives it the ability to quickly turn exploration success into mineable reserves and operating profit." So, yet more delays to the elusive start of copper production. A bit like a mirage that keeps getting further away as you move towards it. | snowydays
11/4/2012 17:59 | Extremely pleased with that, added to my ISA today. | timberwolf3

11/4/2012 17:04 | Thanks, ELBAN. I'll take a look. | saucepan
11/4/2012 17:02 | Saucepan, The other is Galantas (GAL). The CEO has put a lot of his own money on the line and steered them through some tough times. I bought loads at about 2p 2 years ago. There are still problems to be sorted out but at least I feel that the directors are acting on my behalf - even if they don't succeed. | elban
11/4/2012 16:58 | Agreed Elban, i trust the management here and is why i feel comfortable holding qute a few shares. Most miners i wouldnt touch with a long bargepole. | cfro
11/4/2012 16:40 | And the other, ELBAN, please - just in case I should take a look. (The only other miner I myself currently have the confidence to be invested in is GDP; though PAF remains on my watchlist). | saucepan
11/4/2012 16:28 | These are one of only two AIM miners, whose Directors I belive are competent and trustworthy. Makes a change in a market full of sharks. | elban
11/4/2012 16:16 | I had only expected c. 9,300 oz from 78kt of 1806 zone ore, so they are already exceeding my modest expectations and still another month of processing to go. And yet more gold-rich areas to extract in the fullness of time! The bit of extra cash flow will obviously help as well before the copper production gets going. Nice one Rambler! | chipperfrd |
