I was a holder of Cambria Automobiles not so long ago, where 40pc shareholder Mark Lavery was constantly talking them down in trading updates, and then succeeded with a takeover at a knockdown price.I do think there is a not insignificant chance of the founding family taking them private at some point now the business is recovering.

The RNS did seem a bit talked down by the management to me for whatever reason. The cost of living crisis has been talked to death but inflation is dropping, international shipping container costs have plummeted, shop lease costs are now proportionate, energy costs will subdue and QUIZ are planning on opening 5-10 new stores this year. (which could boost revenue by up to 15% alone). No mention of this good stuff in the RNS?

Don't be alarmed. Quiz would not be opening 5-10 stores this year for no reason, They could always put it on hold if they really did not feel confident about the coming months. I would be very surprised if there are no director buys soon.
