03/4/2023 16:54 | Half of the Mcap is covered by cash | hamidahamida
03/4/2023 14:31 | I think to see the share price increase substantially, the market needs to see strong growth. | millennialinvestor
03/4/2023 12:51 | QUIZ's niche of special occasionwear puts them in a sweet spot, and restructured store portfolio (pre-pack admin in mid 2020 ditched the onerous leases), much less physical competition and experienced management with a serious skin in the game holding over 50%. Generating cash 9 million or so in the bankProfitable Very liquid, low Mcap. All that puts Quiz in a perfect place with perfect conditions for the battered share price to stage a recovery. God willing | hamidahamida
03/4/2023 11:35 | Well summed up mesb. My quants tool really likes it and i have been slowly building a decent holding over the last few months (was mindful of pushing the price against myself). | simmsc
03/4/2023 09:25 | for anyone nerdy like me that's tried to model the expected H2 sales and profits in different scenarios, you quickly realise how sensitive the profits are to sales given the size of the company and its cost base. A bit more sales throughput could really propel profits quite rapidly. It's annoying the company uses Panmure Gordon as its broker because their forecasts/reports are not readily available but the summary financial info on sharepad suggests they are projecting about 5% sales growth going into 2024 and 2025. The drapers article quoting 5-10 new stores p.a. (off a base currently of ~60 in the UK) suggests more than that is on the horizon. So too does a comment I'd not noticed before in the interim report in December that 15 new concessions had been opened subsequent to end Sep with New Look (from a base of 62 concessions). The arrangement with New Look must be working well for both parties to increase by that number. New Look have more than 400 stores in the UK so there's more room there. Neither of these stats tally with 5% growth imo. So aside from a change in sentiment from possibly getting back on the dividend list, there surely has to be a chance of a broker forecast upgrade soon. Getting a broker on board that actually publishes the damned forecasts would be the icing on the cake. | mesb48

30/3/2023 18:36 | I asked at one of the recent IMC’s about the trigger for a dividend and the answer by the FD was from memory that he felt there was already enough cash (that was last summer I think) but it was more about proving the company was back on a growth path. Agree any guidance about recommencing dividends would bring in new interest/rerating. In fact that Drapers article has growth written all over it, so I just hope the FD sticks to his line. | mesb48
30/3/2023 17:05 | 80% chance they will show enough cash to restore dividend. That will probably lead to a re-rating. | sailfish3
30/3/2023 16:17 | Yep, launch of spring catalogue. At least they’ve done it. But that can’t have been what triggered all the buys starting at 8.30 this morning. | mesb48

30/3/2023 10:51 | Volumes now suggest someone knows something the rest of us don't. Don't like that too much even if I like the price going up for once. There was an interesting tweet yesterday that implied a big reveal today, but so far I've not seen what that is. | mesb48
30/3/2023 08:31 | Something rumbling. Last year, there was a trading update the first working day of April, so could be Monday. That Draper's article is quite revealing, i'm surprised some of the content wasn't RNS'd. Hopefully it all gets confirmed in the next update. | mesb48
