23/3/2015 11:27 | Funk, to be fair 90% of his posts refer to winnie the pooh. It is hard to take anyone serious on this basis! | elcapital
23/3/2015 11:25 | To be fair to Stephan El, he just outlined his reason for investing in QPP versus other income/growth shares which boils down to a punt on Ingenie. Not a strategy I'd follow personally but fair play to him for having the balls to see it out. | funkmasterp12
23/3/2015 11:25 | EL Cap- Is your real name Richard Cranium - just an educated guess | lucy

23/3/2015 11:18 | a snippet of news from theaustralian to chew over boys hxxps://www.business Finally, a new report tips a strong year for Australian M&A, particularly in the property, resources and financial services sectors, while the AFR reports law firm Slater & Gordon nearing a purchase of a British insurance claims processor that could require a $500m capital raising. | lucy
23/3/2015 11:17 | I see the Chimp is still chomping at the bit! | ozzmosiz
23/3/2015 11:16 | Taking both previous posters on face value, I consider QPP, pre nov 2014 as a basket case(terry was a manic buyer, with no management capabilities) and the more QPP acquired, the more the BOD lost track of where the company was, what the company earned, in fact QPP became a ghost ship, rudderless and crewless. That sort of situation is a shorters paradise, not a bad asset, but nobody knows what is in the cargo hold. That's when I bought, 40p ish. Then I discovered INGENIE. This device is priceless, imho, QPP has acquired this purely by accident or maybe Terry did have half a brain. Either way I am here for long term and will continue to add, likewise GVC, 888, BPTY AND OXUS. As you can now see, I am a stock gambler, not horses, casino`s, bookies, or football but the companies that own them. Good luck to you both and I sincerely hope you make shed loads of money, life for any Private Investor is extremely difficult. | stephan1946
23/3/2015 11:14 | Why do S&G need this deal as much as qpp? | elcapital
23/3/2015 11:06 | SGH need this deal as much, if not more than QPP. That`s why a deal will be done. You don`t insist and pay for an exclusivity clause unless you need time to sort out a deal without the fear of someone else spoiling the party. In view of their aspirations for the UK market, SGH cannot afford to let this division of QPP slip into someone else`s hands. It`s taking time, because the deal will be complex. SGH have to get their large shareholders on board, and arrange a suitable means of financing it. It will happen! | libertine
23/3/2015 11:05 | dalesiders 23 Mar'15 - 08:56 - 31697 of 31714 0 0 dalesiders 21 Mar'15 - 09:30 - 21138 of 21138 0 0 edit Nicky Here is the link to Harrington's piece on T1ps TV. If you can bear to wade through the Errrs and Ummmms the relevant chunk is 5 minutes in. hxxp://www.tiptv.co. He specifically states that the £640m offer for QLS is expected to be announced on 23 March, whereupon the formal exclusivity period (31 March) will terminate. Hi dalesiders I am used to listening to lots of er er ers! Harrington states in the TipsTv interview that 23rd March was a mistake, and that bid will be announced towards end of this week. Yesterday on Betaville he said that his source warned that there was a possibility that it could be even longer. In any case, we will soon know one way or the other. Anybody spending 24 hours a day trolling, clearly must have an agenda. If they are simply short, they should shut up and wait for the non-appearance of a bid. Personally, I think the company is worth much more than 120p, so I am staying put but dyor obviously | nicky name
23/3/2015 10:51 | Well this is why I'm curious - personally I'd take the loss on QPP and put the residual into GVC. But then I'm bearish on QPP, interested to hear what the bull case is for someone invested in both an income/growth and "speculative" (at best) share. | funkmasterp12
23/3/2015 10:48 | Funkmaster I also have GVC (core holding) - I am a bit dismayed stephan also thinks it's a buy. I'm putting it down to pure randomness/coinciden | dasv |
