2024 seems to be an important year to you, Jag. You post about it a lot. Is it the year you turn 17, and hope to able to buy and drive a Jag?

I guess QBT needs to come good in a big way for that to be a possibility, because even though there are plenty of old Mondeo makeover X Jags which can be picked up for a few hundred quid they still cost quite a bit for teenagers to insure.

Major would be that it does not work.

Best you will get is they are still having reverse/forward engineering problems on Methods A through C but have discovered Method D and will be filing a Patent on it whilst still being in discussions about the two patents that have been filed as they pretend to get around the objections.

It's quite interesting hearing the individuals discuss halving who some have absolutely no idea what they are talking about. I mentioned it backalong and then watched the lse discussion...oh my ...it was like rabbits in headlights. And then some became experts in halving....lol..have they ever done it?

If they believe FIAT stands them in better stead being printed daily to support debt of nations globally then go on a currency exchange.
If you believe that bitcoin has a legitimate alternative to FIAT then so do I.
And if mining bitcoin can be made cheaper solving the algorithms of its attainment then what is the difference?
The world is a full of rich individuals who skirt around FIAT.
QBT will either fly like an Eagle if adopted...ive yet to see an alternative supplying the bitcoin mining industry with the ipr they have.

Once I started to research the possibility that LLM interactions were a variation on the psychic’s con, I began to see parallels everywhere in the field of “AI”.

Hooking a language model up to an MRI and claiming that it can read minds.
Claiming to be able to discern criminality based on facial expressions and gait.
Proposing magical solutions to health problems.
Literal predictions of the future.
Claiming to be able to discern the honesty of potential employees.
Suggesting SHA256 has patterns.

Guess which one I added.

It was a long read so I had to go back to it and this crops up...

2. Setting the stage

Our current environment of relentless hype sets the stage and builds up an expectation for at least glimmers of genuine intelligence. For all the warnings vendors make about these systems not being general intelligences, those statements are always followed by either an implied or an actual “yet”. The hype strongly implies that these are “almost” intelligences and that you should be able to perceive “sparks” of intelligence in them.

Those who believe are primed for subjective validation.

The warnings also play a role in setting the stage. “It’s early days” means that when the statistically generic nature of the response is spotted, it’s easily dismissed as an “error”. Anthropomorphising concepts such as using “hallucination” as a term help dismiss the fact that statistical responses are completely disconnected from meaning and facts. The hype and mythology of AI primes the audience to think of these systems as persons to be understood and engaged with, all but guaranteeing subjective validation.

Sounds very much like the messaging from the QBT Psychics and their apologists.
