11/10/2012 16:50 | I have also sold half of my holding at 55p in recent days, amongst reducing a lot of my other holdings. | ![]() markyp23
11/10/2012 13:16 | I don't think anyone can blame you for doing that topvest. I was close to selling at the last mini peak of 65p and have regretted since then the fact i didn't. May all turn out well in the end though - hopefully. | ![]() rmillaree
11/10/2012 10:33 | Sold mine at break-even. Decided to take advantage of the recent strength to get out of this company while the going is good. | ![]() topvest

25/9/2012 10:53 | The WELPUT performance fee position remains of interest - it would be useful to know when it is tested. "The West End of London Property Unit Trust ('WELPUT'/the 'Trust' ... today launched its most recent completed redevelopment, One Chapel Place, Vere Street, London, W1. Located at the northern end of Bond Street, between the iconic department stores of John Lewis and Selfridges, the 34,000 ft² (approx. 3,158 m²) building provides 25,500 ft² (approx. 2,368 m²) of space consisting of the ground floor plus four floors of high specification, bright, open plan office accommodation, a dramatic reception area and a 640 ft² (approx. 59 m²) roof terrace. ... Commenting, Nigel Kempner of Grafton Advisors, said: "One Chapel Place offered a significant opportunity for WELPUT to quickly deploy capital into a prime office development during a time when very little new space is coming to the market. The completed building provides top class modern office accommodation within a very short walk from core Mayfair but at rents which reflect the location."" | ![]() scburbs
25/9/2012 09:48 | The arrival of Max James dealt swiftly with the old triumvirate of Wyatt, Shattock, Worthington. This change was needed, if not long overdue in my view. A break with the past will give new vision and free rein to James to reposition and push the Company forward which he has already started doing with great alacrity. A Corporate name change for QED would not go amiss to signal a complete break with the past. Hail the New Emperor. ALL IMO. DYOR. QP | ![]() quepassa
25/9/2012 09:18 | Debatable whether she did a good job or not. She was firmly ingrained with the old management who destroyed so much shareholder value at QED. Impressive individual but for me unable to walk the walk. | ![]() horndean eagle
25/9/2012 08:21 | Becky Worthington did a good job for QED as FD. However, the business needs to run lean and doesn't need a deputy Chief Executive. No suggestion that she will be replaced so should represent a cut in board costs. | ![]() scburbs
21/9/2012 19:16 | Quite. I was expecting a bit more drift down towards mid 40s. Maybe news flow will lead to a jump up. Here's hoping anyway. But I find hope a dangerous ploy when investing. | ![]() honiton

20/9/2012 15:53 | Well everyone wants to be out of regional properties, so it's not surprising. Would be nice to see contrary views though! | ![]() 911man
20/9/2012 13:36 | Not sure now is a great time to be selling them, but QED seem to have the Sequel properties up for sale (valued in March 2012 at £66.4m to reflect a 10.4% net initial yield). The high yield means they must produce a lot of cashflow which helps QED to its new prospective operating cashflow positive status. "Listed property company Quintain is selling a fund that holds a high-yielding portfolio of regional property as a result of new chief executive Max James's review of the business." | ![]() scburbs

31/8/2012 15:27 | Hi scburbs, Yep, very good results from UTG - which is the major quoted player in the student acommodation market. Despite the recent run-up from 185p to 247p post results, the reported NAV is 335p per share as at 30th June, so still at a 32% discount. I'm a holder and follower of both QED and UTG.
