21/2/2011 09:28 | Five places still available if any of you want to attend the dinner and presentation tonight. | davidosh
20/2/2011 17:45 | zoolook....Well spotted. Yes there will be a large number of Quintain shareholders present at our dinner on Monday evening and about 55 investors altogether. Rebecca Worthington the QED FD has agreed to attend and there will be a short presentation and very healthy Q&A session. These dinners are always popular and there is a new Investor Shareholder Society launching on the same evening and a trophy to be awarded too...so lots happening at the event. Any QED followers from here are most welcome...we still have about 10 spare places. | davidosh
18/2/2011 15:08 | looks like the real deal this time my target 100p would still be 20% below nav WJ. | w1ndjammer
18/2/2011 14:45 | Sounds likwe there might be QED representation at one of the regular Fool get togethers next Monday at the Sea Salt restaurant in Beckingham organised by Carmensfella. Contact him if interested in going: | zoolook
18/2/2011 14:04 | Got a bit of a holding ready for any breakout but if it gets past 45p I'm piling in. | scapital
18/2/2011 12:20 | Yep, looking promising atm . | gbh2
18/2/2011 12:19 | Over 1 million bought today so far against 44k sold. | johnv
18/2/2011 10:09 | We've seen this small rise a few times in recent weeks, what we need imo, is some decent buying action to establish a new support level! ww, I did it was your timing that was out ;) | gbh2
18/2/2011 10:05 | creeping up now | nicd
16/2/2011 11:55 | gbh2 : I thought you said on the b.w. thread that you were off to watch the paint dry! As for QED ...I've taken my profit and re-invested in TW , IMI and of course LLOY! As a result ...I'm not looking to get back in to this stock for the next couple of months or so. | wendsworth
16/2/2011 10:00 | ww - up 0.29% today, make sure you don't miss the action ;)) | gbh2
16/2/2011 09:19 | MATHISVALE : Thanks for your posts amnd your candour. My judgement is that we've had 'the Laxey bounce' from the initial RNS . Now we've got a 2 to 3 month lull 'before the storm'. I guess I've got a small chunk of money waiting and watching! | wendsworth
16/2/2011 06:52 | Execellent find. It clearly demonstrates what Laxey is capable of - and interestingly this is in the property sector. ALL IMO. DYOR. QP | quepassa
16/2/2011 02:51 | Thanks for that Rob. It looks like Laxey mean business at Tamar. I would not like to be in the management's shoes with Laxey breathing down your neck | mathisvale
15/2/2011 16:13 | Can't be too soon for me ;)) | gbh2
15/2/2011 16:12 | As a post-script I would add that I get the distinct impression that there is a chunk of money watching this stock, ready to buy in once the uptrend is confirmed. | mathisvale
15/2/2011 15:58 | The WHY is difficult to sustantiate. It could be as simple as that sentiment is changing now that Laxey is on board. Quite often the WHY of a surge does not become apparent until after it has occurred. All I can say is that the chart appears to be signalling an imminent breakout. We will just have to wait and see. | mathisvale
15/2/2011 14:53 | MATHISVALE : I don't doubt the sincerity of your post or your analysis but the question I would pose is WHY should the share price suddenly break upwards in the next two weeks. I think there is potential in this stock but I do not see any significant move upwards until round about this year's Finals. Hence I'm out for the time being but monitoring. | wendsworth
14/2/2011 18:02 | Hello ALL Got to agree with Mathisvale.Since laxey bought price seems to be holding up. | aberdare
14/2/2011 17:55 | There seems to be a consensus that the share price is set for a period of drifting. Looking at the chart I would say that the exact opposite is true. It appears to me that a outbreak (probably up) is more likely - in the next 2 weeks. Reasons for this :- 1. The share price has inched through the downtrend resistance line. 2. There have been a sequence of higher lows. 3. A small pennant has formed with a crisis breakout due any day now. 4. The fundamentals + Laxey support an improving situation. This is only my view so please DYOR | mathisvale
14/2/2011 15:03 | Yes, I know, I just wonder what precisely their options are here? Share buybacks, asset sales, sacking the Chairman? They only have around 6% IIRC, enough to make a noise but not really enough to force anything through. | zangdook
14/2/2011 14:58 | Zangdook, Laxey don't tend to sit on their hands. Don't forget that Laxey have taken on much bigger beasts than QED. | scburbs
14/2/2011 14:51 | Level of interest is dire atm!!! | gbh2
14/2/2011 14:50 | Hm...but what can Laxey do? They're not going to make an offer, and they don't have enough clout to force the board to change direction too radically. | zangdook |
