I'm not in PURP for the long term (unless results warrant it), but this has been a great trading share for me this year. Whatever we may think, institutions continue to bid PURP up and it has some top funds invested. And as long as that is happening, I'm in!

To me, this is a pure momentum buy. Time will tell if it is able to do what the market currently thinks it will.

I've tried to start discussions here as you'll see if you go back through the thread.

I think the PURP v traditional agent is a fascinating battle to come, don't you?

I can see advantages for both, and in fact there's room for both, as each will have it's unique set of clients.

In a rising property market there's room for both, IMO, and PURP will do well, but if it turns, who would have the advantage then? Will people opt to pay a (possibly) lower fee in advance, and risk losing it if they don't achieve a sale, or sign up with an agent where they can withdraw from the sale if they don't achieve one, at no cost to themselves?

Over to you Panic, what do you think?
