Foety I dont think many posters have taken a short(yet!!)so havent" lost "but certainly surprised at the success of the float as nothing yet has materialised that they are going to substantially increase their share of the market place Disruptive yes and Zoopla are clearly concerned and have made some defensive buys anounced today to the perceived threat of bricks It wont belong before Rightmove do somethng Take my hat off to them they have sold the dream Just cant see that the competition will just roll over and die . The higher the rise the bigger the fall!!Only time will tell

At all time highs there is no over head supply and the large trades frequently going through suggest someone wants the shares imo.

Ill take some profit at £1.25 and leave all the clever people talking about website viewings or listings to everyone else.

Lol follow price action, if a share is going up you hold it if its in a horrible downtrend like CWD you short it. How many this and that is pointless the market dosent care.. Its not rocket science...

If I were actively trading this, I'd be likely cutting here and looking to buy back at around 99p.Can't see anything that drives the price higher in the very near-term.

At Estate Agent school did they teach you that the only punctuation allowed was exclamation marks?

Its in fact more than 939 as the total of live instructions is reduced by sale It irrelevant the cumulative total Its the number of new instructions thats important as they only get paid once!! In September they took on over 2000 instructions and have not shown an average monthly increase over and above that figure since then as December was a washout The point I ma making is that the instructions have not increased substantially which you woud have thought that they would after advertising Thats it now Goodbye

"2months ago they had 4171 listed for sale Today they have 5110 a net increase of 939"How else can what you said be quantified?Put it this way, happy to be in disagreement with you given what you've written so far.

You have butchered the fact the monthly increase hasnt risen 20% as the 5110 includes instructions added over the previous 6 months December was a right off showing a fall in instructions and January and February havent picked up sufficently to pick up the shortfall to bring the monthly average equivalent to September instructions

number of properties on its website staying the same, no increase despite marketing. Why?

Whats effectively happened is that the shrewd investors managed to achieve the perfect timing for the float having achieved a stratospheric rise in market share which has since plateaued out despite all the publicity and expensive advertiisng Its going to be along time til an operating profit kicks in In the meantime the Housing market will come off the boil requiring all the skillsets of a professional to get it away Wont be long til one of their " highly experienced " LPEs get sued for professional negligence A colleague invited on ein for a"valuation" and he reckoned he was at least 10% off the mark !!

So a net increase of >20% over a two month period, annualised growth running at ~120% for that period.Buddy, are you simple or something?

Havent butchered anything just stated facts - numbers and dates taken from their site September has been their best month and since then they have burned millions on tv advertising without a sharp increase in instructions

Overthehill,What you've done there is butcher statistics. Do you know how that delta compares for the rest of the market? It's a bit like saying: they're sales have only gone up a bit, terrible news. But if the average competitor saw sales halve that number then becomes very different.Be careful when looking at numbers that way.

Lets face it on the 19th Dec nearly 2months ago they had 4171 listed for sale Today they have 5110 a net increase of 939 !! Admittedly this is not the best time of year for instructions included the quiet Xmas period but its a pretty poor response ut when they have undertaken an expensive saturated advertising campaign It looks like they have taken on less than 3000 instructions during this period

the game is changing and yes this is disruptive.

But most property owners don't take the likes of PB seriously.

Not compared to a seasoned local agent.

They do add value.

Seem to be a fair few worried Estate Agents popping up on this thread de-ramping!

Long overdue that somebody took on these overpaid leeches.

You have hit the nail on the head Purplebricks havent cornered the monopoly on change so maybe in a years time just like property details in envelopes Zoopla and Rightmove with a far bigger reach despite bricks TV advertising spend(theres old fashioned in itself) will offer a similar cheaper service without having to use the services or shoulder the cost of an LPE who ha sbeen on a 2 week "intensive" proeprty training course and consign the bricks into the skip
