PGS are now in a position where they could declare a dividend.
They have already brought back shares and will probably continue to do so.
They have also said that they wish to buy a compeditor that will significantly strenghen their position in the market.

Truffle.

Agree with everything you said. How to get there, well they could declare a decent dividened, buy back more shares, or aquire another business. Any of the above would work, they have to spend the cash on something, what else could they do with it?.

At the end of the day, a company is judged by its share price and if the price remains depressed for year after year, as is the case here, then however much one tries to convince oneself that it is good value it is no good if the market as a whole thinks otherwise for whatever reason.

I agree that there is a convincing scenario that can be put forward based on earnings, cash flow etc. but the price is not reflecting/has not reflected it.

If the company has spare cash why doesn't it buy back more shares? That would be a positive move.

In my view the price performance is very disappointing and it should be at £1.20 but how to get it there?

Fido,

It is not fair to say 'strip out the one offs', 'logical progression', 'given the market' etc. as there is always something like this with this share.

You have been saying for 2 or 3 years or more that PSG would move up strongly and the share has not done this.
It is at the same levels of a year or so ago, and well below the near 90p of FQ07.
You can't keep saying it would have been better but 'if only', as this has been the case for years now, and there is always something.

It makes the the Hesters exit price seem a smart move.

You never acknowledge when the company has disappointed or not delivered as you have persistently been forecasting. If you are trying to make sensible and thought through comments you should also be prepared to acknowledge when a share has not performed a you suggested it would do.

squaddie,
Strip out the one offs, add in the logical progression and given the market, the figures look good.

Looks to be a good set of results given the circumstances. £1 million profits in tough markets.

Simple rule Truffle
The results look backwards (and are almost irrelevant)
The share price looks forward and is assuming a drop in the number of housing transactions.
The Economy apart, HIPS Part 2 does not augur well

Its hard not to believe there is something wrong with this company.

Results due early next week and the share price has been sliding, down some 20% during the past month !

It does not inspire any confidence.

Seems to be on the road to nowhere with the share price having gradually declined by 20% over the past 9 months. Glad that I sold out at 75p for a small profit in August.
