Yes that well covered dividend yield is one of the reasons why this popped up on my yearly stock screen.

Yes car is history now

Funds waking up to the fact that its 6% div. yield and its well covered. The Yes car credit has been ditched and theres a trading update in early march, 10th I think. Funny thing is, the very same funds will those buying it back at higher levels.

Hi all,
Little time for research - is this company worth investing in? Just come into my radar screen.

Finally.. back to my buy price. Only bought a couple of months ago, but seems like it's been a long hard slog. :)

IBrox, I think the dividend is pretty well covered. The p/e is only 11, and divi is 6%... just below twice covered.

Thanks Varga, when I get some time I'll do more in depth research.

I know the trade and Company very well,
times are difficult but the divi's have been rising for the last 15+ years,
and I believe Provident will be doing every thing possible to continue this trend.

I have recently taken a fair size long position.

Looked around last week at dividend yield as a backup to Lloyds if they get taken out some time soon. I came up with this and have entered with a small spreadbet. Anyone any thoughts on how safe the future dividends are?
Noticed this rose in the afternoon in line with Lloyds and increase in volume there, seems to me that others may start thinking the same way.

This is looking like a good recovery play now having bitten the bullet with Yes Car. The UK business is relatively stable. The International business is the interesting part as it seems to be growing very fast. A decent yield if they can keep paying the dividend also gives comfort for income funds.

Decent value here. I'm holding. Fair price would be 640-660p IMHO.

The Yes Car Credit operation should have been closed down straight after the damming TV report. Good riddance for potential customers.

If you have a taste for technical analysis, the share price has just broken through the 20 day ma, and all of the indicators (MACD, RSI, stochastic oscillators) are bullish.

All in all very encouraging.

I hold, so dyor etc.
