Very “odd” price action today. It’s one thing buying this on temporary(?) Woodford-induced weakness, but how low it goes in the medium term is a tricky problem! Initiated a new position today, anyway.

Think those in the know probably knew wonga was on the brink, if they go it will be very positive for provident, even if they do a pre pack they won't be the same and will be weakened

Their target price of 610 hardly merits a hold when it opened at 670 this am.
Whatever , the price has drifted back to 680 so not a lot to get excited about now. Sadly.

Support seems to be coming in now repeatedly in the 680's which is highest I've seen, still waiting for 710 to cross, if it does 950 could be quick imho dyor

Very interesting right now,these are stuck in a range, top end of which is around 710, a close above this from a chart point of view would see circa 950 imho dyor, plenty of Chartists will be watching this with the same thought no doubt and that move should be quick, the bad news should be behind and the news flow positive as per results we have just had, , over 710 and these look very good to me imho dyor

No interim divi and a "nominal" final dividend. Which is a vague term. Though to a mathematician all it means is a number. So don't think it will pay the income tax bill!

The interim are no surprise, they told us in May they were operating above expectation. Hopefully we see a steady rise over the coming months.
