There are a number of things that I find utterly incomprehensible about this APEC fiasco. Chinese leader Xi Jing Ping (not sure about spelling) paid a 3 day visit to Ireland a few years ago and expressed a wish to develop further trade deals between the two nations. Some of these have come to pass. Now then..
1/ OReilly belongs to one of the most influential families in Ireland.
2/ There is a government department which actively works to develop inward investment in the country.
3/ So when things started to become unglued with the APEC deal, how come OReilly was not able to get this government agency to contact the trade attache at the Chinese embassy to sort this whole mess out.

It would have seemed like a good idea to me and I would have expected such an approach would have borne fruit given the fact that the Chinese leader attached such importance to establishing deeper relations and the fact that by any standards this was an important investment in the national ingrastructure. Can't understand why there was nowt done on this front..no credit to any of the players.

In the midst of all this gloom it may be worth remembering that as recently as September 30th the company raised $3.76 million in a placing at 5.1p. Presumably the people who stumped up that cash may be willing to put in more to keep the company afloat.

Hmm...I must say that it is an extreme disappointment that no deal came to pass in the 3 months since the AGM,and I wouldn't bet me shirt on any tangible progress by year end.

A very sorry 'end', at least to my support of PVR. A complete car-crash of a share! They have nothing IMHO and could go a lot lower from here, presently valued at $23m. We've been lied to again and again with no reasonable explanation. Almost criminal.

APEC have bailed (were they really in?)
The partners have bailed
The BOD have bailed
The CEO has bailed
All the staff have been sacked
The offices are gone

And still T'OR is proud of his achievements ... lol

Despite this, I'm not bitter (well a bit). Another costly learning curve and another loss taken firmly on the chin! Onwards and upwards ...

I think most people have written this one off by now Herm. I'll be pretty surprised if this comes good. Just put it down to bitter experience I'm afraid, as I've lost a pile of money here along with many others. Big oil is only interested in the most profitable fields such as offshore Africa and South America. This one doesn't make the grade anymore and the effing green lobby only compounds the problem. The time has now passed on this one. It should have been done 5-7 years ago and barring a miracle it won't happen unless some entity picks up the company for a penny a share. Anyways...Merry Christmas one and all and a happy new year.
