companies like this get secondary follow-through.

Everyone will have bought Oils and airlines and travel companies etc in the wake of the vaccine news.

Now they will look for the second liners that will have benefitted indirectly from the jump in the market.

PMI funds will have done well and PMI stock is still relatively cheap and unloved.

It has yet to get the 'vaccine news boost'.

Yes agree, currently see very good opportunities in three fund managers - Premier Miton, Polar Capital and City of London (CLIG). All seeing strong inflows and good performance, yet all trading on single digit PEs and paying good dividends. I'd suspect at least one of these could be the next Liontrust.

makes sense ...miton funds are performing currently.

As well as the stellar Miton European opportunities fund (CGXXQ). Miton Uk smaller and several of the US funds doing well too. US opportunities and multi-asset funds also stand out. I cannot see any particular dogs in their stable either.

The result of this:- the Premier Miton share price lags the performance of their funds currently: A kind of internal arbitrage that will correct over time.

As we get through the pandemic and develop a more proportionate view of this disease I think this company should be a very good place to be.

And then there is the divi too.

Q4 AuM update:-

Mike O'Shea, Chief Executive Officer, commented:

"The Group saw a return to net positive flows in August and September reflecting a combination of continued inflows across a number of the single strategy funds along with early traction for the new fixed income team.

"The Group has made a series of key appointments in the financial year that will allow it to offer new products to investors in Global Sustainable Equity, Global Small Cap and Fixed Income. At the same time, it is encouraging to see strong performance across a wide range of our existing single strategy equity and fixed income funds, which now represent the majority of our total AuM. We have considerably strengthened our distribution capabilities over recent months and, as a result, we approach the coming financial year with optimism that we can continue to build flows in this important area for the business.

"The Group's AuM saw growth of 4% from the position at 30 June 2020 to end the quarter at £10.6 billion."

Is this cheap - they have too many trusts to run and could merge one or two.

I bet they could save more on the expense side of the business and at the same time improve on the performance.................if they do not then they will or may be forced to merge again.

Interesting times for them so I have bought at 95p.

Why is nobody worried about all the money waisted on buying Anglo African Oil And Gas shares when Miton knew the company was going under, or why can't they do something to recover the your investment. ?

Too early to call a higher low? Looks like one.

The shares are modestly priced and the update seems promising.

We will see..

Am I reading that table right gsbmba99...

3 of the top 7 by the look of that list... not 2 of the top 7

Hopefully more than a feather in their corporate cap but useful publicity for garnering new clients

Nice find gsbmba99.
