Yes...but PRD is "stupid cheap" and will recover faster than most. I expect this to move strongly upwards as dates get confirmed for drilling.

The fourth leg down is just beginning with a target of 5p. There might be a million loose shares after the RNS today.

Be careful.

Worth a read from a few years back explaining why the FTSE reacts positively to a decrease in the GBP. Same applies to our project, the potential value in USD terms has increased when converted back into GBP.

Posted a chart over on twitter for those interested ...

I also expect gas prices to start rising again as we go into this drill, perfect storm that don't come around often.

Ireland running out of options. Shell has just quit a really big offshore wind project.

Just waiting on the license to drill which takes up to 60 days (according to the Government website) and PRD RNSed it was completing the apps on 19th July. Star Valley rig ready to go on Company instruction. Materials were sourced in July too.

Thanks RD but PRD existing licenses at Corrib and Kinsale are not progressing along those lines.

The Policy Statement confirmed that whilst no new authorisations
for new exploration will be granted, existing authorisations are not affected by this change. Holders of existing authorisations can continue to apply to progress through the standard licensing lifecycle stages towards a natural conclusion, which may include expiry, relinquishment, or production. Any applications for follow-on authorisations or applications to undertake offshore activities under an authorisation are subject to Ministerial consent and must continue to meet environmental, technical, and financial criteria as appropriate. Applications for petroleum authorisations are assessed against a number of criteria in accordance with Section 9A of the Petroleum and Other Minerals Development Act, 1960 (as amended) and Section 3 of the Licensing Terms for Offshore Oil and Gas Exploration, Development and Production.

I intend to read the document in detail when time permits but it doesn't look like a game changer for gas exploration.

From what I can glean, Corrib is down to around 40% production capacity. Expansion at Corrib is not listed as a possible solution to the current problems in the latest Government report which is now btw open to public contribution; although current operators at Corrib wish to be allowed to drill deeper in Corrib North.

Should do what the Yanks do and their moto....."drill baby drill". Timing is out on the renewables but every country seems to get this wrong.

Just sense that Predator drilling licenses in Kinsale and Corrib South ought not be ignored given proximity to infrastructure and existing/historic gas resources and production. Given that the "greens" will not like paying huge increases in their home energy bills and further that licenses were actually granted by Government then resistance from the "greens" can be blown away by pointing out lower carbon emissions from indigenous gas supply. Be interesting to see how it is managed.

Bit of a no brainer but within politics who knows.
