Because the city market makers want it so and they want it lower so they can buy back the shares they have happily sold at 1.6 They are setting up a major defence at that level. It doesn't mean it won't go over later but it will take a lot more volume than current trade. The market makers will try to encourage sellers lower down

Zeppo the market makers run naked shorts in the anticipation of a low ball placing where they would get cheap stock on a pull back. But if the demand continues and there is no placing they have to cover the short positions. Just like any shorter on Spread bet or CFD trade.

This could easily reach last weeks highs today. Shorts will be panicking again. Too much demand for those shares in the hydrogen sector.

The planning committee draft report should be available late next week. Hopefully recommending approval. The proceedings commence at 4.00 pm and more important applications are usually delt with first. Great times ahead.
