30/5/2019 15:01 | By late 2020 the world will be overrun with plastic waste, it will be too little too late. | dodge_city
30/5/2019 14:44 | vatnabrekk, "Two community drop in events will be held at Elton Community Centre in Chester on Tuesday 4 June, 5pm–8pm, Wednesday 5 June, 11am–2pm.".... If that article is correct it means PHE or their agents have not even yet submitted a planning application, will not do until late summer and will not get planning permission until year end 2019. That may seem to mean claims of building a full size system last year, the year before, or this year, were misleading to say the least and potentially false. So much for Keth Allaun's comment in an interview over 12 months ago, they were moving ahead "aggressively" with planning matters. Shareholders who invested on the basis of such forward looking statements and then suffered loss as the Company failed to deliver, may have a case for compensation imo. P.S. 1) I seem to recall DR recently saying after KA left, they might build up to 2 units this year. Really Dave? How ? Early waste + electricity faciliteis cost £7m, reducing to £6m later on. Hydrogen enabled facilities are said to cost £15m ! (Source: David Ryan, Presentation) | deccer1
30/5/2019 14:36 | So the planning application is estimated to be approved by the year end. Assuming no delays or rejection of the plans then doesn't look likely that any commercial unit will be up and running until late 2020 ??? | nelson5100
30/5/2019 13:18 | Thanks LuckeyJim. I'm sure that David Ryan is aware of this, so it will be interesting to see what they come with as a solution. | vatnabrekk
30/5/2019 13:14 | Design of £7M Protos hydrogen facility revealed: | vatnabrekk
30/5/2019 12:43 | Hi Vatnbrekk, sorry for the delay I have been away. The reactor core cannot be ceramic because the stress and temprature creep on ceramics due to movement of the flow engineering at the temperature required for successful gasification will make the ceramic crack. This type of operation cannot be compared to rotary kilns as used in the cement industry, this technology is much more advanced. There are alloys avaiable that could meet the chalenge but in this application are not commercially viable. The reactor core ideally should run at around 2000c to gasify all known waste. PHE try to run at a lower tempreture in an effort to aviod technical problems which restricts the type of waste they can use as feedstock. The problem put simply is, that all known materials have a temprature which they gasify, the core of the reactor is not exempt. So in effect as the feedstock is gasified so to a lesser extent is the reactor core. The breakthrough in this technology is to find a material of which the core can be made, that will last for say six months, and provided the cost of this new material is acceptable then replacing the core would make the technology commercially viable. The problem is that at present a material to do that is not available. | luckey jim
30/5/2019 08:55 | Anyone want to fund the experiment of a full size system? Risk of failure high. | ken chung
30/5/2019 08:54 | No patent protection and the CEO just left with full knowledge about the system. | ken chung
29/5/2019 23:52 | That's where you are wrong some have special investment funds that are yet to be put to an appropriate project. ? | whatsthepoint
29/5/2019 22:38 | Tough, they're getting back their contaminated plastic waste anyway. | vatnabrekk
29/5/2019 22:07 | Councils have no spare cash and are bankrupt, most of their funds go on migrants. | dodge_city
29/5/2019 21:17 | The world is overrun with plastic waste so where are the orders? | dodge_city
29/5/2019 18:14 | The new rotary Kiln will not be ceramic. It will be a very special metal alloy. DYOR. It will easily cope with the temperatures. | whatsthepoint
29/5/2019 15:12 | OK, thanks. | vatnabrekk
29/5/2019 14:30 | Thanks Whatsthepoint. Is the prototype at Thornton Park also rotary? | vatnabrekk
29/5/2019 14:17 | It's rotary | whatsthepoint
29/5/2019 13:35 | 97% buys today | superbarnet
29/5/2019 13:19 | The kiln, or gasifier chamber, doesn't appear to me to be rotary, it seems to be a stationary unit, but perhaps someone can tell us otherwise: | vatnabrekk
29/5/2019 08:16 | Things must be getting close so keep the Filter button close as the coach is coming. | linesal2
29/5/2019 08:15 | Perfect response from a dropout LOL | linesal2
29/5/2019 06:56 | They are not going to tell anyone if they have solved a major past problem, they will prove it then patent it. | linesal2 |
