Thanks Vat, it made my day when I read that I have to say! I agree, the key is that they’ve officially classed it as non-incineration. One would assume to expect a government level visit to Powerhouse in the very near future. Very excited now!

Thought I’d let you know that I’ve had a response from government to my recent letter…


Thank you for your email of 17 December to the Minister of State for Industry, about a company called Powerhouse Energy. As I hope you will appreciate, the Minister receives significant volumes of correspondence on a daily basis, and, regrettably, is unable to respond to each one personally. Therefore, I have been asked to respond. The Department is aware of the Powerhouse Energy Group and officials have met with them in the past. They have developed a very promising non-incineration technology to convert waste into useful products.
