The process makes syngas not electricity to produce electricity that syngas would have to be burnt which in turn would produce CO2 similar to incineration. |
It's in the header Graham answer to your question ! isn't difficult to find.....
The outputs from the Powerhouse Technology can be built to suit customer needs such as:
Energy rich syngas as chemical precursors for industry Electrical Power Heat or Cooling Hydrogen at 99.999’% purity – sustainable at point of use road fuel quality
----- ie, it doesn't has to be hydrogen. Electric straight back into the grid - ££££s
Rid the planet of single use plastic and get paid |
Unfortunately the UK view of hydrogen is not good. It’s ok to have a petrol station close to houses or industrial estates yet H&S with no experience of hydrogen storage say it’s unsafe to store.
Couldn’t make it up. |
Couple of miles away from powerhouse unit. Not saying that PHE looking at same quantity but will no doubt have similar restrictions on storing syngas. |
I was thinking about the demo version as unless they intend to run it 24 hours a day it will no doubt require cleaning every time they use it. It will also require sufficient testing before customers even think about licencing it and enough data to prove that it is cost effective most likely 12 months minimum data. All in my opinion of course. Feel free to comment on what you think will be required. |
Going back to the DMG down day for cleaning. This will be part of the licencing and maintenance deal so Powerhouse will get paid for doing it. If all goes well! Powerhouse energy 'could !' become a nice little cash cow of a share ! - my hope anyway and certainly no advice intended. |
Falling nicely. Thanks for the wealth transfer.0.4p soon.Lemmings and mushrooms only. |
Do you think they will do trials with clean or dirty plastic. Will they keep it going or just use it for trials if stopped and start will they have to clear the residue each time as no doubt some plastic will get left in the furnace each time. Will the syngas be stored or released into the atmosphere.
Anyone had any discussions with the company on what they propose to do during the trials. |
Going back to the £2.2million Powerhouse spent last year. They had to buy another cylinder after the first order was stook when the company went bust. I would guess all of the other engineered part would have been paid for in advance and in last years P&L given it was but 4 months again as you say. From here on in to the commissioning of the DMG it will be paying manpower !. So the remaining £2.7 million will stretch a very long way. |
Also - we wait all of this time for labour to gain power and fulfill Thier promises and green jobs / energy. This is what we get. If they don't announce something in the budget !!! |
Fair enough.
Yep - hooked on oil and gas.
:-/ |
Well they are nearly 4 months into the year so 8 months left, I'm sure they wont want to go to zero cash before getting a placing away.
ITM getting slaughtered at moment another short opened recently :-( |
So they have spent £2.2 million in twelve months. And your maths think the remaining £2.7 million will only last 6-7 months ! Interesting.
The DMG is forecast to be up and running Q4 2024 - not long now. On a positive result, bearing in mind this is a 'first of a kind' interest from UK investors and the many governments / companies around the world looking for a clean solution to the plastic problem will / should raise the share price! and if Powerhouse did decide to raise more funds it should be at a higher price !. On a positive DMG test results! It shouldn't be long before licences are signed and the money rolls in.
That's for the future, I'm happy with the here and now.
Good luck with itm Graham - tough for clean tech companies! My pick PPS is all but bust .... Who would have thought! The German economy sinking fast leaving the government no cash for infrastructure projects.
That's gambling for ya / me :-/ |

Unfortunately you just highlighted the cash burn situation so in 6-7 months time or sooner they will be looking for more money. The trials are going to cost. |
Going down.0.4p soon.Lemmings and mushrooms only. |
Vatnabtek stop making a fool of yourself. |
Hi Vat. The government already know about DMG Tech. Keith Riley said PHE was engaged at government level a while back (in an interview if I recall). IMO, it’s just a matter of time before government funding comes in directly for PHE now we’ve had the HyNet funding confirmation. Discussions must surely be going on now or will be at some point soon behind the scenes… |

Interesting research by the BBC about pollution being caused by incineration of waste to generate electricity. Apparently this process produces more CO2 per kw than the old coal-fired power stations. Could be an opportunity for PHE to make the government aware of the DMG technology. |
European Patent Granted - Another milestone ticked off and for the naysayers to consider! |
"About 3.1% of the UK’s energy comes from waste incinerators." Thats astonishing
“The current practice of the burning of waste for energy and building more and more incinerators for this purpose is at odds with our desire to reduce greenhouse gas emissions,”
The waste they are burning is increasingly made up of plastic, according to local government data. Because plastic is produced from fossil fuels, it is the dirtiest type of waste to burn.
For once I can say well done the BBC When the government get to grips with this, PHE is going to be a perfect soluton. |
