Until it happens the price will fluctuate as positions are released or taken up.

Good report out about Poundland being "credit Positive" for Steinhoff. Lets hope it starts moving back up tomorrow.

Investec bought and sold almost the same number of shares at the same price range. What's all that about?

Thanks for the update. It looks like they are serious. I hope that they follow through. They cannot keep declaring an interest and then not following through. If they fail again, the next time they approach a company they are likely to be told that they are laughing stocks and not to waste time.

dins , your question last week re highest price paid.

Looking at the RNS just out , Investec ( advisor to Steinhoff) were in the market again on friday paying between 204.5p and 207p . That`s the highest I`ve seen.

So consensus from these financial press articles seems to be a figure somewhere between 225p - 250p with an outside chance of a counter bidder.

Just a matter of wait and see now.
