Deutsche Bank strategists said: ‘In the case of a “Leave” vote in the UK referendum, we expect UK equities to outperform the European market, given the likely pound depreciation in such a scenario as well as the market’s defensive sector structure.’

JP Morgan also declared British shares are cheap and will benefit from a bounce back in emerging markets because so many Footsie companies have exposure to developing economies.

The broker concluded: ‘Brexit remains a clear concern, but [the pound] is a natural hedge for UK stocks, with 72 per cent of sales derived from abroad.
We believe that UK equities will hold out relatively better than continental ones in the event of UK leaving.’

Yep a couple of the big banks , Deutsche was one, can`t remember the other, say go overweight in UK equities on Brexit as the weak pound will help many UK companies.

Here we have a business in decline. The chart has been falling since it hit the high last year at just over the the £4 mark. This has failed continually to break out of its channel over the last 180 MDA.Previously this has bounced back to lower lows after reaching each and every new high, the warning indicators were the strongest in April. The charts indicate this will test 1.18 before we can see any stabilisation. Given the current volity in the markets I would advise you to stay clear until the current new resistance has been reached or breached. If you are short...set it above five points to kick out, the computer does not indicate this is a volitile stock. If further news appears that is not welcome than we will chart at below £1.Trade well and have fun!

Count yourself lucky phil, I took a hammering in Jan and only starting to square the books now, hard work for little reward this year so far.

So far the lower target setters have proved to be correct, so the likely-hood of that changing at the present time is very limited imo.

I do find it amusing how brokers with access to the same information can come up with such wildly differing valuations!
I have watched this one for quite some time but never invested.
I don't expect the results to be good but what will be important will be current trading and outlook. If they are positive then we could have a turning point.

If I didn`t know better it would look like plenty were tipped off with that news at the end of last week. Good job that sort of thing never happens nowadays.

Morning all.

Afternoon PHIL, I`m noticing a change in the Poundland stores with this multi pricing becoming very obvious when you step into a store now. I`ve only been in my local one once this week since getting back to the uk but it looks very bright and seemed pretty busy . I don`t think we`ll see the 300p again in the next few years but 200p I wouldn`t write off just yet.

Have you seen the weather forecast for next week in Malaga ... 100 degrees !!
