99p Store in Carr Street to reopen as Poundland after national take over

Had a week in Torquay. Back now.
Couple of observations:
1. The 99p store has converted to Poundland and re-opened. The original shop is still trading and the two stores are in very close proximity. On that basis they must cater for the same trade, so I just wonder about overheads and the fact that they may be duplicating costs. That would be inefficient use of capital. Of course there may be an issue with the leases, whereby they may not be able to surrender one of them for now.
2. The foreign student season would appear to have started at the Language College, by the many groups that I saw wandering around. Quite a few were grabbing their bargains at Poundland. Long may it continue.

Plnd appears undervalued at these price levels.Weak summer period may lie ahead but eventually I expect price recovery above 200 .
