16/3/2002 13:34 | In the famous words of Gene Kelly "I'm just singing in the rain" on this one. Anyone want to join in. | innovation99
16/3/2002 12:43 | Talk of interest rates going up in the second half of the year. Oh dear with the 11 million POT has already advanced in the last results plus a further fund raising 25 million it looks like POT will have an automatic increase in its profitable returns to date. He would want to invest in a company that is going to increase its profit base just because interest rates go up. ME !!! | innovation99
11/3/2002 10:07 | JonC - whats your viewpoint on this stock being overlooked by the retail investor whilst some well known shrewd investors are buying up the stock. | innovation99
07/3/2002 15:01 | Cheers Inno. JC | jonc
07/3/2002 14:31 | Excellant two page report on Citywire by Algernon Craig-Hall about Shrewd Investors buying into Potential Finanace and the reason why. Well the reason is simple really they think its going to make a mint and the shares are going cheap. But you read it anyway. Address if you need it below: | innovation99
07/3/2002 12:58 | Well have established nothing untoward with ex-director resignation and share sell. This was all due to the gentleman being in ill-health. The good news is Peter Webb of Eaglet has been watching POT since it floated and felt it a good time to buy into the company when the ex-directors shares became available. Thus buying them at 90p each which was less than the £1.25 had he brought at the float. To snap up these shares appears to me to be a seal of approval to where the company is heading. | innovation99
05/3/2002 11:55 | Eaglet buy ex director Kendons stake: JC | jonc
05/3/2002 11:55 | Eaglet buy ex director Kendons stake: JC | jonc
01/3/2002 22:46 | A non-executive director, resigned from the Board. He also sold 897,600 ordinary shares at a price of 90p each, representing his entire interest in the company. What is all that about? Hate these resignations, what is the story behind all that? | innovation99
28/2/2002 13:18 | Pity about the lack of interest, which is holding back the share price. There will be a few "wish I brought some" when the next trading statement arrives. | innovation99
24/2/2002 00:01 | Get out of telcoms and re-invest in a money making machine (POT) at least you will re-coup some of your losses if not all in the next six months. Hard to bite the bullet with so much lost on a share, but a return on telecoms is not going to be forthcoming for the next two years. MMs will lure you in and spit you out with even more loss. Play the game according to the econmic climate, have the foresight to know when to play a stock. Potential Finance will give a healthy return. Its your money, either waste it or double it. | innovation99
23/2/2002 12:28 | Yeah, Why buy EGS when you can have a steady POT. I am in as a long term hold subject to the company achieving its business plan. Cheers JC | jonc
23/2/2002 12:26 | Thanks JC !! was begining to wonder. Everyone around crying in their milk about telcoms and losing sight that there are still a few companies that can make money on the back of this mayhem. One needs to focus not just hope when playing in this market. Either that or keep out until the bulls come back. Long wait for that one mind you. | innovation99
23/2/2002 12:07 | Stick with it. You are not alone. JC | jonc
23/2/2002 12:00 | I am going to flog this one to death. But as I watch everything collapsing around me viz Telecoms etc, one little stock holds steady. Why ?? well I have said enough aoout that. But either all those on this BB are not buying and just hoping that the shares in the 90% club, recover - which they wont - well not for 2/3 years anyway or (this beggars disbelief) no-one can see the enormous potential of this stock. If interest rates do go up, then hold onto your hats this company will become just a "money making machine". | innovation99
17/2/2002 02:52 | Just finished my charting for the week ahead. I hold these shares so hold a bias opinion, but thought I would share a chart summary anyway. The chart gives Potential Finance a positive signal from a double bottom formation by a break up through the resistance at 101. Further rise to 108 or more is signaled short term. The negative to the chart is its poor liquidity (traded 86% of the days, mean 0.52 mill per day) weakens the analysis. So in summary, the share price has little downside, therefore, any newsflow prior to a set of good results and a major breakout will occur Only lack of regular retail investors is holding this one back. So a chance to buy in, before more shrewd investors jump on board. Why not be there with them at the beginning of the rise for a high return in 12 months or less. | innovation99
14/2/2002 12:28 | innovation99: The stock may have turned the corner, as you say, but the director's dealing was pretty insignificant, as these things go---under £10k.If you compare this with other turn-around situations, like MWB, you'll see that the directors' dealing was really serious. I'll keep an eye on this one though, Regards, Boc. | bocadillo
14/2/2002 09:54 | Bocadillo The stock market has proved slow to spot the full implications GE Capital three year finance package at Potential Finance. The facility for a 25 min stg to cover expected growth did represent a turning point that will herald a major revival in its shares price in the short term. As for directors buying - I did state "on a regular basis" hence the Chairman, for instance, has been stakebuilding and now holds 15% of the Company's issued ordinary sharecapital. Why? because in his own words "there dirt cheap". Finding funding is no easy feat in this market, but as Dave Edwards, Corporate Finance Manager, GE Capital Commercial Finance Limited, commented: "Potential Finance are exhibiting all the signs of profitable growth and our additional committed facility will support continued working capital requirements. I am delighted that we are able to play a part in securing the future growth of the company." Something tells me GE Capital will have done their homework on this one before releasing 25 min stg. | innovation99
13/2/2002 23:10 | Astonished that this stock has not got punters exchanging viewpoints. When Directors buy into other companies its the be all and end all. POTS directors buy on a regular basis - wonder why ?? and not a mention to be seen anywhere other than AFX news | innovation99
02/2/2002 00:25 | I draw attention to a stock that is enthusiatic about its future and provide reason why this should be so: Potential Finance Group PLC has seen a year of consistent growth and consistently improving results. Having only been operating for 23 months, they are in a marketplace for sustained growth. Client numbers have increased by over 75 pct since September 2000, while funds advanced to clients have virtually doubled, increasing from 5.5 mln stg to 10.9 mln stg during the same period. The group reported turnover in the year to end-September rose to 2.13 mln stg from 656,000 stg while operating profit before interest was 303,000 stg, up from a loss of 754,000 in the previous year. The pretax loss was 81,000 stg, reduced from a loss of 687,000 while the loss per share was 0.78 pence against a loss in the previous year of 10.68 per share. The company has also recently agreed 3-year finance package with GE Capital, which will provide a facility of 25 mln stg to cover its expected growth for the foreseeable future. You can see why they are so enthusiastic, they have a "heads you win - tails you win" business model. Guess thats what GE Capital saw when the provided a facility for 25 min stg to cover the expected growth. Eat you heart out Marconi and the like! Good value for money this one - zero downside - plenty of upside. As yet still not been picked up by the retail investors, but institutions are quitely building. However, still close to its lowest price so not to late to see a 100% return anytime within the next 24 months. | innovation99
14/1/2002 20:48 | thanks red we will wait and see | macplod
14/1/2002 13:55 | This appears to be back on a run. Good looking company with sound potential. Small NMS though and price volatility that will scare a lot people off.The good news will come - of that I have no doubt. I have carried out some research into this company including discussion with the directors but DYOR. As we all know, it is a minefield out there with only a few safe areas on which to tread - this is one of them IMHO. | red army |
