28/3/2009 08:58 | In intend to ride the wave Ashbox. When the American farmers make up their mind how much land they will bring into production we could see fireworks with this company. I think the consensus opinion is for a major pickup in fertilizer demand towards the end of the year and into 2010. Hope you get your chance to buy back in. If you get the chance I shall be joining you with a top up. Cheers. | ![]() pip_uk
27/3/2009 17:49 | Good performance over the last couple of days pip so you timed your entry well. This share doesn't seem to attract much attention on ADVFN even though it is a massive company. I almost bought back in around the low CAD 96's the other day and now regret not doing so. I will buy back in on any fall back to the low 100's if that happens! | ![]() ashbox
19/3/2009 13:59 | Really motoring today. Worries about how to feed the population in 30 years time is concentrating scientific minds at the moment. Africa is set to grow their population, and their farmers to be encouraged to become more efficient. Meat consumption is rapidly increasing in India and China and that takes a lot of increased production of grain to feed the live stock. That will fuel the need for fertilizers to rejuvenate the soil. What better company to do it. Cheers. | ![]() pip_uk
18/3/2009 09:52 | Still heading in the right direction, despite the cut in their production this year.I do think this has a long way to go, and I intend to stay involved for some time yet. | ![]() pip_uk
12/3/2009 14:09 | I bought on the NYSE at 73$ down a bit today, but I will hang on for the longer term as the outlook towards the end of the year, according to Potash, is for an upturn in agriculture generally. I just like the whole story, it makes sense, there will be more mouths to feed in the future, and with dwindling land supplies there will have to be more extensive farming methods. Hope you get involved again Ashbox. Cheers. | ![]() pip_uk
11/3/2009 19:30 | Yes, well done on your investment pip - doing very well since you got in. I subscribe to Moneyweek and read the article with interest as I have been in (and out and in) to POT since January and have made a decent profit on the way. I was in from CAD 84 the other day but sold yesterday for CAD 94. A nice profit but should have held on! I would like to buy as a longer term hold but there seems to be so much volatility in the price at the moment that profit taking just becomes too tempting. I must wait for a pull-back, hopefully below 90, to get back in. I'm hoping that the train hasn't permanently left the station.....! | ![]() ashbox
10/3/2009 16:35 | Good article in last weeks Money week extolling the virtues of Potash. This company, POT, has their attention. A good chance to buy and hold with all the the world mouths to feed in the future. Put my money where my mouth is, and bought in today. Share price today looking very strong. Cheers. | ![]() pip_uk
24/10/2008 12:20 | "Potash Corp. of Saskatchewan saw its third quarter earnings increase five fold to C$1.24 billion, or C$3.93 per share. To put things in perspective, that exceeded the C$1.1-billion earned in the entire 2007. Potash ended the day up C$3.07 at C$85.99." | ![]() dasv

14/6/2008 18:20 | You have just read the most beautiful and magic word: ''POTASH''. watch this space..... Potash prices are going through the roof. lots of opportunites out there. 19/3/2008 19:27 | Things moving in the right direction. | tomdog
28/10/2007 22:39 | in my view, there will be a merger between POT and Private & Commercial - have a look at the shareholder register and you will see why. there is no reason for the principal shareholder in the respective company to pay for two plc-structures. in fact there is every reason not to do so! the very likely scenario is for P&C to bid for POT, which trades at a clear discount to its NAV. upside in this should be 25-35%. | ![]() baner

30/11/2005 16:56 | Looks like Eaglet have sold. This was the RNS from 2004: Potential Finance Group plc - Holding in Company - The Board received notification today from Eaglet Investment Trust plc, in accordance with sections 198 to 210 of the Companies Act 1985 (as amended), that following a recent purchase of 362,500 Ordinary Shares of 25p each, it now holds 1,292,500 Ordinary Shares in the name of HSBC Global Custody Nominees Ltd, representing 12.34 per cent. of the Company's current issued ordinary share capital. 17 February 2004 | ![]() jonc
