Sb888 you spend far too much time on here, do you think the more you post the more likely you are to be right? It seems like you are just trying to create a self fulfilling prophecy by scaring holders into selling. We all have access to the short information and everything else, the repetitive nature of your posts isn't informative. If you are that confident then sit back, relax and come back in 6 months when this is trading at 100p and run our faces in it then.

sb888, I gradually sold everything a couple of weeks ago as the price rose substantially. Bought and sold again. Now I see low 1600s, I have ammunition that I would feel bad not to have fired!

That said, I do have a permanent long position that I cannot touch, so I have to be reasonably careful not to hold on to too many others for too long a time.

Just sold the ones I bought 30 minutes ago. But I do still remain a true believer. Would only play this from the long side. Too much cash being earned and the valuation is low. I don’t think the hedgies have a good call on this one. Fears on ESMA WAAAAAAAAY overdone (in the medium term). Still pretty risky, but I think you’re getting well paid for it.

Whatever it is, it’s fun! Whatever you think of PLUS, size your position correctly - it really does some strange things. Nobody anticipated anything like today’s move, and now it has occurred, no one has a clue why! Only theories.

Strangely, PLUS don’t make a market on PLUS. If they did, they’d make a lot more money.

If this was a market fundamental issue, IGG would be suffering too, however it is only down 1.2%

This is the dividend issue and the usual pattern before ex-date, possibly amplified by the short interest (I need to verify that) It's really not that hard to spot the pattern.

We may see a tick up at the end of day and some close there shorts (the brave ones holding for the dividend over-reaction)

A 50% retracement from 1100 to 2075 is near enough about where we are now. With the 100p fall tomorrow, we overshoot, although taking large dividends into account in this sort of TA messes everything up. RSI is currently 38.4, so pretty cheap from that standpoint.

FWIW, just bought a bunch for a quick turn. Tight stop.

I have a feeling they could not do this as they have to report holdings AND derivatives. But the last time they sold was when the stock was 1100p, so a 50% increase could be pretty persuasive. It could be that they are not selling yet, but the hedgies are betting they will. Last time they sold, the SP, tanked around 12%.

Some further big sells went through the past few minutes. Even down 9%, there is some real commitment going on here!

could they be selling forward? t25 maybe? its a grey area when does a trade become a trade, when executed or settled?this is how the death spiral financiers get away with it, they sell forward
