Bob, the converse is true. When it sells off, his holding is reduced (all other things equal) and then he buys. It seems to have been a clear strategy in times when the share price has fallen sharply - evident from the various RNSs over the past three years or so.

Exactly I suspectt its breached the Odey in house limits and they have had to scale back due to in house rules.Its the largest holding in both the Allegra Developed Markets and Absolute Return Fund both run by Hanbury

You can see small movements up and down on the holding over the past few releases - seems fairly reasonable assumption

0.13% of the fund its called rebalancing the fund!!!! over 10% of the fund,tell me how many fund managers have that high conviction in one stock?

Think that's an adjustment based on fund rules rather than indication of general intent. There was a helpful earlier post on this.

James Hanbury of Odey stated that Plus500 will be many multiples of the share price in the future in the latest factsheet on the Allegra Developed Markets fund which hoids over 10% of the fund in Plus500 his highest conviction stock

It could be related also to the fact that Odey have lightened up a little. This came out at about midday today, but would have started a while ago. They have sold 0.13% of the company, so that would be about 150,000 shares. Not massive, but when they are seen to be selling, I would think the market makers back off.

This notification does not mean that they are not still selling. It was a reportable threshold they crossed. I would also think that it does not mean that they no longer like the stock, but hey, maybe it’s just a 2 week trade!

Is the 4/4 a confirmed date for Q1 update?
In the past they have been nearer the end of April.

Cryptos will survive I'm sure but it was only 15% of earnings anyway.The main thing is its attracted many more users to Plus and expansion into Singapore and South Africa plus far better trading conditions means blowout earnings,lots of buys going through I'm sure there will be many bargain hunting right upto 4/4

Sounds plausible yes. Too much is being hung on cryptos here I think, there will always be plenty of marketing opportunities to get people onboard for a punt. Besides that bitcoin has been pronounced dead on more than one occasion before now.

The drop over the last two days is likely in some part driven by news that google will be blocking crypto adverts. Good news is even if crypto goes to 0 tomorrow, the company is significantly undervalued.

....it doesnto matter if they have bumber results if theye are negative on the future, but I'm talking about the next 2 weeks. I don't like the company, I don't like the way they operate and I am still suspicious in general. But this is short term...

But they don't stay clients. They're off as soon as theyve lost their couple of grand. Plus needs to maintain client aquisition and that will be difficult imo

bob- cryptos are and were the most astonishing client acquisition boon. So the company starts the year with approximately 200k active customers, twice the level of last year. We know trading propensity has risen because Vix is up, and lots of platforms have reported record months. We know a lot of the 150k new customers who arrived in Q4 came late in the quarter. The company has said that new customer inflows have continued at at least the average rate of 2017. If you do the maths, they have probably now earned half of what is expected for the full year.
