12/3/2018 15:03 | bobmonkeyhouse, quite a strident opinion! Two weeks is one thing, it could go anywhere, but what about 6 months? Some of us on this B.B. are investors! | chucko1
12/3/2018 15:02 | What makes you say that the share is over valued? | davebdavid
12/3/2018 14:34 | It is not about volatility of cryptos, its my strong belief that bitcoin will cease to be and interest generally will stop. Below a tenner in the next couple of weeks | bobmonkeyhouse
12/3/2018 14:29 | They actually make more money when cryptos fall. Only 15% of profits were from crpytos in the 4th quarter when cryptos rose. The founders sold as all founders do when the majority of their money is tied up in one company. They still hold substantial holdings and only one is a director now More transactions are made on Plus when markets are volatile which we didn't have in Q4 but weve seen in Q1 .Expansion into Singapore and South Africa will add massively to their profits in the future on less than 9 times forward earnings are a bargain that's only held back by ESMA regs which only affect 20% of Plus's business. Q1 earnings will be huge as hinted by Plus in Q4 report | poolefox
12/3/2018 14:11 | Overvalued and insider selling. Seemed to have spiked on cryptos and theyre an accident waiting to happen | bobmonkeyhouse
12/3/2018 14:08 | Why do you think that out of interest? | jplus
12/3/2018 10:40 | Based on what? | michaeljames1
12/3/2018 10:36 | Game over, this is going sub 10 quid in the next week or so, from 11.30 imo | bobmonkeyhouse
10/3/2018 11:25 | Crypto and general volatility great for Plus, add in sterling weakness versus euro, new licences in Singapore and South Africa, new volatility index can't wait for results on 4/4 | poolefox
10/3/2018 11:13 | Thought we might of had word about how the placing went.price was very volatile but ended up just positive. Hope next week will be back to business as usual. | burn248
06/3/2018 10:50 | Starting to perk up!!!! | burn248
05/3/2018 16:10 | Thanks Chucko I appreciate the commentary on Odey. Be interesting to read their analysts report. | noujay
05/3/2018 15:31 | andyj, perhaps I could have been clearer. My point is that even if I think there is a 70% chance that the share price will be lower after my purchase, the expected upside (because I am very bullish on this stock), is much more than 70/30x a reasonable estimate of loss. What I don’t want to do is to ty and time my purchase as I would find it very difficult psychologically to chase this higher if I did not have enough!! Because I think that if and when it moves higher after the current bouts of news have passed, it could do so at some speed. | chucko1
05/3/2018 14:05 | So is that Odey taking a few more or just fluctuation of a trading position? | noujay
05/3/2018 13:54 | Just joking mate, I get it, just a wrongly worded statement. | andyj
05/3/2018 13:45 | If, andyj, that “witty” comment refers to my previous post, you clearly miss the point. | chucko1
05/3/2018 12:33 | You prefer to buy at a slightly higher price? The market is going to welcome you with open arms. Wanna buy some shares mate? | andyj
05/3/2018 12:33 | Any idea when this ESMA outcome will be announced ? | intelligentinvestor1
05/3/2018 10:51 | PLUS historically has seen a sharp rise or fall any any major news items, I agree that the ESMA outcome is likely to be already in the price. But it takes time for news to be digested, so even if the outcome is fairly inline with what is expected we could see a quick adverse reaction that holders could take advantage of, but we might need to act quickly. | interceptor2
05/3/2018 10:29 | Yes the base case ESMA outcome is already priced in IMO as they have already guided what they want to do. When they actually announce it could be a positive catalyst if the relax the rules a bit given the feedback received (98% of users think restrictions go too far). Negative if they do something like ban crypto trading | aakash30
05/3/2018 09:29 | It would seem the outcome of Esma is already in the price. | rogash
05/3/2018 08:20 | Spot on nurdin, I was tempted to add on Friday but decided to keep to original plan of buying once ESMA announce the new rules, the chances are that the share price will react in negative way which should give an even better opportunity. | interceptor2
04/3/2018 20:38 | Regarding ESMA timing: Looks like announcement will not be before end of march and implementation sometime in may. Based of transcript of IG group H1 2018 Q&A: Question 1 Alistair Ross, Investec Morning guys. Five questions from me. I’ll take them one by one. Just timing on ESMA and FCA. Any idea? I’m talking about the impact to the P&L. Peter Hetherington Well I don’t know anything. I’ll tell you what I expect, but I don’t know. The consultation will close early in Feb. We believe there’s a board of supervisors meeting, which is all of the heads of all the NCAs on 22nd, 23rd March, which is the point where we believe that’s the first point where decisions can be made. So they could be announced say a week after that and then we expect firms to be given a short period to get ready for those changes. Alistair Ross Short, as in? Roughly. Peter Hetherington We’re working on the basis it would be very hard for these to be enforced before 1st May and most likely you’d be looking around the start of our new financial year, 1st June. | aakash30
04/3/2018 20:02 | My strategy here is to keep buying come hell or high water. £80mm sale be damned. ESMA be damned. Reckless? No, it is merely recognising three things: 1. The FY 2017 was excellent 2. The market is far too sanguine on 2018 - I think it will be another really big increase and this stock is very poorly analysed. It is worth remembering that the positive surprise on PLUS has averaged 27% or so and that is after repeated earnings upgrades - they simply “don’t get it”. 3. Timing purchases on a stock like this is tricky, although we have seen some patterns. But I take the view that I would prefer to purchase at a slightly higher price than I could but with the knowledge that I will not miss out. That said, I need to accelerate my purchases even more as we approach ESMA announcement date (whenever that is). | chucko1 |
