Sadly, the twang is no longer the thang.

Duane Eddy passed away last week. I trust he is serenading the angels with his Gribson.

Ey up, all.

#8812,
As I've said before, gra, the Tories have an extraordinary approach to London (which one can only assume is because they think it is 'unwinnable') of not putting up a decent candidate, then casting her/him adrift and let them flounder through an ineffective (invisible this time) campaign without any support from any 'big guns'. As is shown by the likes of Andy Burnham, Andy Street, Ben Houchen and others, it is possible for a big hitter with genuine local ties and a focus on actually delivering benefits for local people to garner votes regardless of which party they represent. If the Tories learn anything from this (they won't), they should look for a candidate of real stature and start preparing them for the next election.

Btw, I was pleased to note that the Reform candidate actually got elected to the London Assembly. A small win, granted, but it's a start.

Popped to Lidl to get some of the bedding plants to get started on the pots and baskets later. Large fresh baguette acquired to go with the Fresh Tuna for lunch and BBQ later. Lots of moreti chilling at present and may even get the NFL snack helmet out. :)

Well that was pretty hard going, lungs bursting and sweating like a Spaniard made it up there smashing my previous PB by a couple of minutes. This means I have put a good few minutes between me and the person who is second fastest for that segment this year and moved me up quite a few places in the all of time table to 14th placed.

Not much left in the tank now. Need to rehydrate…

When are they going to realise that they need to do something proactively not just try to manage the current dire situation.

What sort of a sad person would announce the fact-on a Sunday - on a free investment bb- the fact that it is about to go to the starter line of a race ffs.

Adding that he is the Queen of such stupid events.

Oh Micky it is ?

Jaysus what a clown.

I bet he will comment on some masked runners

Who told Sunak that "we have a plan" was a brilliant electioneering slogan, so brilliant it must be repeated every 5 minutes?

Interesting there were no comments at all about yesterday.

The tragedy is that Khan could have been given the order of the boot in other circumstances. There are constituencies where he had a lot of wasted votes, because basically everyone voted for him. Some of his policies are hugely unpopular and people don't especially like the man himself. But all this counted for nothing while people rightly loathe the Conservatives with such passion.

Just approaching the start of the Lubutts road climb up to Gaddings. Banged in the fastest time up there this year, according to Strava, the other day but still somewhat shy of all time best. Let’s see if I can shave a few seconds off my PB, although a tad RAF
