Briefly, very briefly, an article on the BBC website front page explained how the life of a poor gentleman in his forties would suffer if his PIP allowance was taken away, as now proposed. He suffers from lack of confidence that stops him working, anxiety, and depression. So much so that he once had to hide in the toilets while at work.
He cannot have 'Unemployment Benefit' because he is not seeking employment, but currently gets 3 other benefits which do not allow him to lve comfortably.

The article seems to have been removed within an hour of two!

Not before I noticed the credits at the bottom to:

xxx (Disabled Editor)* and yyy (Disabled Reporter)'

*I fear these titles do not necessarily refer to the state of those employees, but to their place on the Beeb's employment rota.

I note that Ireland are holding talks with the hated British Government today, about 'returning asylum seekers' to Northern Ireland. You couldn't make it up!

#8592 I'm so impressed that the locals are happy with a knife fight. Note how they film it, or walk past it, a woman with a pram crosses the road to keep well out!

#8586,

One of each for me. I like to spread my favours around.

I note that Moderna has now come up with an MRNA jab for melanoma (which I have). With all this 'genetic engineering', if I turn into a woolly Mammoth, you'll know I've tried it.

This Fallout series is very good. I really think James and gra’ might enjoy it.

Not sure if I mentioned, but managed to bag Fallout 4 for a very cheap price via Steam - pretty immersive stuff!

Morning jeffian,

There was a good reason they pulled it as early as they did. Cheap as chips, no need for teh crazy temperature freezers, UK manufactured and it was easy to produce and distribute. What was not to like?

Oh yes, it was potent and they knew it.

I hope that Olive from On the buses woman has handed her gong back too.

I am suspicious that monte1 retired and cleared the decks so to be ready to accept the offer of First Minister from a grateful nation. Am I right?

#8570 it was always odd that a Party whose leader had to resign in shame and disgrace should opt for "the continuity candidate."

Morning all.
