I wonder if it is in anyway connected to virus riddled knock-off sat nav mapping files or a dodgy Eastern European OBD fault code reader at all?

#4328 - this is teh olde Quattro, most of the sound system speakers have stopped working with only sound coming through the centre speaker and subwoofer I think - I think it might have happened when I did a firmware / sat nav map pack update myself (bizarrely the horn stopped working for a short period at that time, but started again). The local garage flagged a few weird error codes when I asked them to look into it, but didnt have a clue.
