09/11/2021 18:54 | Nice bounce into the close..... I see Psquared reduced short from 0.67% to 0.27% , suspect we may see some fresh action any day now 😀 GLA | wolfhound1
09/11/2021 16:09 | Monster sells x3 of 100k + and up we go of course. IGT top results out today & up 4pc, being noted no doubt | the white house
08/11/2021 12:33 | Yes, the HK connection is perhaps more than coincidence. | wageslave
08/11/2021 12:28 | Yep, Hong Kong, kinda ironic if the unregulated Asia market that has been thorn in Playtec side on regulated market becomes the eventual owner, | wolfhound1
08/11/2021 12:25 | Err HK??!! | shaker44
08/11/2021 12:17 | Yep and interestingly Mr Paul is also HK based.....bet he knows Gopher and TT Bond.... Also a Hao Tang just bought 9m shares, anyone want to guess where they are located 😉 | wolfhound1
08/11/2021 11:41 | Thanks for the info. I guess a proportion of the II sales have gone to Mr Paul and others speculating. | wageslave
08/11/2021 10:58 | Do you know what percentage aristocrat actually hold or do we count the 20.7% i letters of intent as their holding? | wageslave
08/11/2021 10:31 | Gopher and its affiliate (Advisor) TT Bond Partners each hold 4.97% of Playtech, just under 10% or £221 mn This potential bid may have legs.... to get the Board and others to recind their letters of intent Gopher need to exceed current offer by a min of 10% , which would set a new floor of 748p min The fact Board responded to what is effectively press speculation ( no formal offer as yet on table) may be an indicator that there have been multiple expressions of interest... we shall see GLA | wolfhound1
08/11/2021 09:52 | Interesting Board picked this point in time to comment on press speculation without a firm offer on table ( Gopher have been in this since 21 Oct), Possible indicator Board have had more than one approach and are setting things up for a trade auction 😉 ? We will see GLA | wolfhound1
08/11/2021 08:20 | CNBC reporting Sky News is saying 3bn offer IS on the table from Gordon the Gopher | the white house
07/11/2021 23:11 | "That implies Gopher would need to bid at least 748p-a-share to secure a board recommendation." More to come imo as bidding war hots up | aishah
07/11/2021 17:35 | Mark Kleinman Exclusive: Gopher Investments is weighing a £3bn counterbid for Playtech, raising the prospect of a full-blown bidding war for the London-listed gaming software developer; Playtech agreed to a £2.7bn bid from Australia's Aristocrat Leisure last month. | manics
05/11/2021 22:27 | Yes, that's another possible angle. Think current price is being dictated by supply and demand until we hear more - if we do. | wageslave
05/11/2021 16:52 | OR, and there has been precedent that a lot of outside activity forces the approved bidder to be required to raise their own agreed bid to keep other predators at bay. A lot of price action for the original bid to stand up as the final, you could argue | the white house
05/11/2021 09:56 | It would only make sense to pay that much above the proposed offer price if you either thought there was another bid coming or were involved in a counter bid. | wageslave
05/11/2021 09:18 | Yep, a couple of really chunky sells for £2mn were absorbed without impact, someone must be hoovering up stock to fill a large order 😜 | wolfhound1
05/11/2021 08:43 | Decent volume in 1st hour. Could be another positive day here. | oggyrocks
04/11/2021 19:11 | Good spot, he is the owner of Birmingham City, worth 420m, links to Oz and likes share buying! | the white house
04/11/2021 18:46 | there is an rns after market purchase of shares by a Chinese entity- any comments from anyone | ali47fish
04/11/2021 16:00 | Another nice move after US open, think the TradeTech nightmare was more the bid delay from maybe many potential suitors. Caesars down 7 & Penn down16 not helping sector so move up here notable IGT near equiv also bouncy | the white house
03/11/2021 14:29 | Not really bothered if 850p+ is offered. I'll probably take that | aishah
03/11/2021 14:10 | The timing if any counter bid announcement could be interesting, does a bidder go for post UK market close, but that passes momentum to Aussies who have all night to ponder on response and issue fresh bid, potentially while US are sleeping, or go for pre UK market open, end of Aussie day but markets have all day to digest.....hmmmm | wolfhound1
03/11/2021 13:17 | Has been a realistic option since the activist fund took a stake, I wonder was the Aussie an opportunistic bid, SciGames, executed a strategic contract with Playtec in Feb as part of their future repositioning business to focus on i-gaming strategy, and had only 2 weeks ago divested their slots business for $6bn, so only now would they really be in a position to make a bid...lets see if they do, I haven't seen any press release denying interest 🤔 I suspect a realistic bid would need to be north of 25% (i.e. 850p+) | wolfhound1
03/11/2021 13:11 | Extraordinary action here, not a sniff for years & it takes an Aussie slot machine operator to get bid up 4 times for someone else to take notice. Even more bizarre is their multiple machines in every Ladbrokes is hiding in plain sight, but still overlooked for both Tech & huge Italian SNAI network | the white house |
