Italy is adding 0.3% tax to bets to help fund sports.I assume Snai shops in Italy are now open.William Hill numbers indicate that loss of shop bets and sports bets are not recouped by other online betting, at least not in the UK and US.https://www.standard.co.uk/business/william-hill-to-reopen-betting-shops-as-sports-starts-to-take-off-again-a4441256.html

If you listened to what they said in last year presentation when asked about the US. They said it is not a race and that they doing all the preparation to enter. I think they are waiting for the majority of states to open up to gambling. When they do enter it will be big time. Anyway I managed to do my top up below 200p.

PTEC helped out hills and SPO by clearing outThe way to get BACK in will be to buy a company that is already fully licencesThey could buy the whole of SPO how pretty cheaply and get a good US footprint GAN still cheap but not for much longer at this rate Can't believe they have completely given up

Oops hit Submit too early. When the Sportech acquisition got stuck for many months in 2013, PTEC had to sell its holding and Weizer leave the SPO board. Then the Sportech deal was approved by the US regulator.https://calvinayre.com/2013/06/22/business/has-playtech-given-up-hope-of-entering-the-us-market/

It's difficult to understand why PTEC would put its cash into Italy, which was tightening up, and not into the USA, which was opening up.

PTEC was on the US regulators blacklist since online gambling was illegal, and PTEC continued to supply services. PTEC tested the water years later by teaming up with Sportech in SPOs acquisition of SGR. PTEC only had a 10% holding but the deal was blocked until PTEC withdrew from the deal. They have not been bold enough to attempt another US acquisition. Even though much has changed since then, the US regulator is still a hurdle.PTEC will need try an offer one day.

Nice new Polish deal sorted today. Many EU providers are moving over to PTEC IMS

They have most of world covered in terms of IMS but not the US

Why do they not just buy GAN ffs. Such a simple way to get a very large US footprint with local casino players and still relatively cheap - but won't be for long.

Asia is less affected by COVID19 than Europe and the USA. China was up and running after a strict and brutal lockdown. Malaysia is our other B2B market and this has been lightly affected with just over 100 deaths.

PLUS gave an update in April that should also apply to TradeTech "heightened levels of market volatility have persisted, and the Company has continued to see a significantly increased level of customer trading activity."

Agreed - the previously under performing financial trading arm is likely to be way ahead of expectations and likewise the online casinos will be busy

When the next update comes out it will be a lot better then was anticipated. First alot of people playing online whilst isolated and second there cfd portal has been doing rather well due to more people trying to be investor experts and gambling on the markets. I can see playtech getting back to 300p pretty sharpish. First I would prefer if they dropped back below 200p so that I can do another top up to bring down my average.

China BTB is a relatively small slice of our revenues now that we have Snai and a growing BTC segment. PTEC has, for a few years, said China is highly competitive and our market share is being eroded by cheap suppliers. However, our China operation is very low cost and therefore remains highly profitable, albeit with a gradually declining revenue.

That would be a boost for sureThe share price still way off where it should be imo given massive online take up globally since lockdownI know China weighing heavily but they seem to be on the case and stemming the decline
