Fairly close vote there and interesting institutional statement - no doubt an attempt to put Spring Owl in its place. Not sure it will in the scheme of things but there's some lines being drawn here!

Remember, United States authorities had the same challenge when online gambling was illegal. PTEC was one of the suppliers on the US bad boys list for serving US consumers. That's why we are not a key player in the US today.

I believe the authorities do that and they spring up hours later with a different name. The operators are located outside of China serving the Chinese consumer. I suppose like cat and mouse.

If it is illegal, why don't they just block the sites?

If PTEC walked away from China it may have a positive affect on the share price after a few months. There would be some revenue loss but this is offset by the removal of a key risk and overall negative perception from operating in an illegal market. PTEC has said China is highly competitive, margins have been eroded and we are offering incentives to stay in this illegal market.China is not likely to be regulated and, if it were, PTEC is unlikely to be a selected partner as they are a supplier to illegal operators (and are not Chinese).

No major red flags here, still looks like very good value to me. 22% upside on offer if you just intend to trade the range it has been in for some time. Think downside risk (with the exception of new regulation, which is always possible) looks very limited given the dividend on offer. Any new buyback program (surely likely?) would further support the share price.

It first needs to get past the majority of shareholders on 19th December. PTEC indicates it's been agreed by "some" of the major shareholders.

"Playtech announces that, following an extensive Shareholder engagement programme driven by some of the Company's largest institutional Shareholders, the Company is now seeking shareholder approval for the grant to the Chief Executive Officer, Mor Weizer, of a share award linked to long-term shareholder value creation.

The full terms of the award are set out in a circular to shareholders which includes a notice of general meeting to approve the terms of the award which is due to be held at 10.00 am on 19 December 2019."

Nice (challenging) incentive package fro the CEO, share price target 600p / 700p / 800p / 1200p.

I don't necessarily agree with share price targets, Op Cash is a much better metric.

Ah, thought it must be something like that. Seems over done to me.

Odd given the price target of all brokers are still above the current price by some distance.

435 to 425 - I mean - that worth 5% off the price...

Muted response to the trading update - they are playing it cagey at the moment.

Interesting to see how their strategy is developing. Strong Italy is great against regulatory headwinds and puts them in a solid position.

At this rate though PTEC begin to look like a bid target for someone like GVC - would see them sow up the B2B market
