Activist Investor Plotting Playtech Board Overhaul: Times

(Bloomberg) -- Springowl Asset Management’s Jason Ader is
plotting an overhaul of Playtech’s board,The Times reports,
without saying where it obtained the information.
* Ader has been interviewing candidates with the view of putting
them forward as candidates
* He is believed to want at least 3 existing board members
replaced, including Alan Jackson, its chairman since 2013; and
senior independent non-executive director Andrew Thomas
* Ader is thought to have run the idea by other shareholders

Not keen on stockopedia. Competition eating into margins and return on capital which has been halving year on year over the last 2 years. Hence need to buy in Italy.... just before they changed the tax laws...!! Looks cheap but there is a reason.

Yes, PTEC is very undervalued based on fundamentals. We should have more info on 21 February. A nice surprise would be welcome, for a change.

Still significantly undervalued, so long as there are no more skeletons lurking.

Manics, I suspect Sagi knew a couple of years ago that leaner times were ahead. He still does very well as we pay his companies for services.

All those years we thought The Sagmeister General was holding back the SP, but all this has done is puke since he offloaded his majority.

From the interims : "In addition, the multi-location set up of the Group may give rise to transfer pricing risk, mitigated by the fact that the key intra-group transactions are documented and take place on an arm's length basis unless local legislation stipulates different requirements."

Penrose has only been on the Board 10 minutes so can't be the one to blame for awful performance over the past 8 years.

Penrose must be sacked, he is a loser and will destroy Playtech.

Merry Christmas all. It has not been a good year or two for PTEC.We are now below where we were in March 2010. That's a very poor performance over eight years compared with its peers. What's gone wrong here? The executives have become greedy in relation to performance. Based on performance they should get a low salary and no bonus.I think we are still diverting too much cash to Sagi's companies. These payments to a related party has been reported in the Annual Reports each year but from now on does not get reported. I'm not comfortable with that.
