this is the kind of diversification I was referencing. Playlist list of licensees is probably too big to list although it would be nice to see it.

i don't think 888 has much value at a 1.03B valuation. Also I can't believe how 888's websites haven't changed much since all those years - let's face it their website still looks amateurish/stagnant at best...they badly need a revamp.

Playtech with its leading and diverse businesses (land casinos + partnerships with most leading bookies) is a much better play :) Not to mention their stakes in plus500 and ladbrokes/coral and big cash pile and the financials (markets.com) division. It is clear to me where they lost money on crypto - when all cryptos were going up everyone and his dog were long and brokers couldn't hedge so they lost money - some brokers lost big because client wins have to come from somewhere. Now cryptos are more balanced and random moving up and down - that's much better for cfd brokers. Perhaps Playtech's biggest lost opportunity was the failed Plus500 acquisition but that's looking at it backwards - if i were them i would look at acquiring IQ Option technology business or perhaps even xtrade.

Where do you find a company like this that is so cash-generative with this valuation these days huh? Most blue chips seem to have over 1 billion debt! I bought into pokerstars when it was some 2.3 to 2.5 billion valuation and it is now 3.90 billion valuation! Likewise, playtech is looking like good value here. Short-term (months) looks very positive - long term is positive. I bought big tranches today and will look at adding if the price moves favourably.

I've bought a last tranch this morning.

Maybe IC have it wrong that 2018 business to business gaming revenues are down 8% as a result of temporary Malaysian ban. They suggest Numis forecasts assume ban is lifted which they feel may be over optimistic. More alarmingly, they write that 35% of revenues result from China via Philippines, and may be at risk from a similar clampdown. Dyor

I don't think PTEC has been overvalued over the past 5 years (or more). There has long been an understanding that regulation in Asia would, one day, mean change. I've never seen anyone quantify what those change would be on PTEC."Playtech's stock peaked in July last year, valuing the company at around £3.3bn, but the shares have since fallen by more than a quarter." Financial TimesRevenues increased 18%On Thursday, the company said there is "no change" to trading in Malaysia.

Investors chronicle write up today discusses Malaysia clampdown late 2017, which hit ptec revenues. Also flags their exposure to a clampdown in China, which is more significant should it occur. Concludes Ptec a hold at current levels.

The Premium News Service offered by ADVFN - Alliance - had the following headline early in the morning:"Playtech Shares Down As Asia Struggles Continue To Hit Gaming Division"I only read through results quickly but I didn't see anything alarming about Asia. There is a mention of Malaysia but not alarming. PTEC is well-placed to benefit from Malaysia regulation. What was Alliance highlighting? Did I miss something or was this Alliance headline trying to disturb holders? (Alliance seems to overly dramatise all its headlines).

Good to see it bounce back. I came in a little later at 715 once the momentum seemed established.Frankly I was frustrated to see a larger than expected fall in PLUS500 so the trade here was a bit of a counterbalance albeit one of significantly less quantum. Nonetheless one winner on the day will do!
