10/8/2017 09:36 | The trading update was given in mid-May just six weeks before the end of H1. Apart from the little warning about Sun Bingo, the rest was very positive."I am delighted to say that Playtech is delivering a strong performance in 2017 driven by organic growth and recent strategic acquisitions."Growth in daily average revenues in the Gaming division in the year to date remains strong with organic growth supplemented by acquisitions made in 2016 and 2017 including BGT, Quickspin, ECM and Eyecon. As previously indicated, the initial phase of our contract with the Sun Bingo has been more challenging than anticipated and we have recently taken further steps to address the issues, including significantly strengthening the management team, resulting in an improving performance."The Financials division has performed in line with our expectations, with continued growth in the B2B business and improved B2C customer KPIs. CFH continues to perform well following the acquisition in November. | nod
10/8/2017 09:35 | Yes -to those short ;) | manics
10/8/2017 09:34 | Thanks Nod. I had overlooked 24/8 results. And I meant to say. Unrewarded in my prior post! | shaker44
10/8/2017 09:33 | "Quite the reverse"Does that mean you CAN see the results disappointing ? | nod
10/8/2017 09:24 | Quite the reverse imo. PTEC are very usually reliable and I've not seen anything micro or macro that suggests that trend breaking. | manics
10/8/2017 09:18 | Shaker, that might be a prudent move.PTEC interim results are due two weeks today, 24 August. We may see some buying ahead of the results. If not, then post results.I can't see the results disappointing anyone. | nod
10/8/2017 08:57 | Just wondering whether to topslice my plus500 holding and add to my Ptec. Try to get a double whammy on the Ptec plus500 holding which seems rewarded! | shaker44
10/8/2017 08:05 | The PLUS stake is a sleeping, unrecognized asset here ... no doubt about it . £200 million - Crummy days. Unfathomable the torpor that this stock displays in the market given everything. Turnover here is up by over 1000% in 10 years meanwhile the underlying equity is up a derisory 160%; Very unrepresentative and very unusual. More often a stock will advance by an amount more aligned to it's growth profile. One day.. | undervaluedassets
09/8/2017 22:51 | ssw, the Plus share price has doubled since PTEC's failed offer at 400p for the whole of Plus. But what did Brighttech actually pay for its shares? I've not found that info yet, but I would guess it was a lot less than 400p per share.Whatever they paid, PTEC is currently sitting on a very nice paper profit today. However, PLUS has a habit of getting into regulatory trouble and the share price crashes.I'm certain the regulators keep a very close eye on PLUS. | nod
09/8/2017 21:11 | They now own a stake worth £200million with a 9% yield. Breathtaking budiness move. | slipperysidewinder
09/8/2017 21:08 | On paper Playtech have doubled there 20% holding in Plus 500 in a couple of years An absolutely staggering performance. | slipperysidewinder
07/8/2017 16:40 | Perhaps PTEC are having another go at PLUS | libertine
07/8/2017 16:21 | After the huge rise the Plus500 shareprice today Plus500 stock is now effectively on offer at a discount here as PTEC stock went down. Aside from 20% PLus500 stake that PTEC own next results are set to be stella for PTEC. The selling here today looks very technical esp given the fact that PLUS is on a tear. The fundamentals of PTEC are sound on their own. But we should get at least 5% uplift just on the back of the PLUS holding given the PLUS share price performance today. And it will come happen - The market does work these things out in the end.. | undervaluedassets
07/8/2017 12:31 | Just a shame that PTEC failed to get the full TO through. PTEC should still move up as Plus flies. | trentendboy
07/8/2017 12:28 | 20% but this will be increasing every day wity the buybsck. | slipperysidewinder
07/8/2017 12:09 | How much plus does ptec own? | timanglin
07/8/2017 08:15 | Incredible performance from Plus 500 this morning. The share buy back is increasin Playtech stake and the mega-divi is the icing on cake. | slipperysidewinder
05/8/2017 12:11 | Shaker, you need to research who makes and supplied FOBTs | trentendboy
05/8/2017 10:41 | Thanks Nod | shaker44
05/8/2017 10:26 | According to the Daily Mail, Philip Hammond has shelved the review of fixed-odds betting terminals. Not a good time to lose the tax.If true, the sector should fly on Monday. | nod
05/8/2017 08:31 | FOBT news from Hammond should be a strong positive for PTEC with the new arm of the business.Expecting a strong Monday opening alongside LADS and HILLS | trentendboy
03/8/2017 17:19 | Nice move todayGood get the tenner back in short order | trentendboy
03/8/2017 14:34 | Seems a suitable non answer. Career in politics beckons. | shaker44 |
