if institutions snapped up shares around 9.38 at a discount to market price, its with the intention of getting a good return relatively quickly to agree such large purchases. trading update will no doubt boost share price. looks like its a floor not ceiling or a lot of wealthy , professionals have been conned which I highly doubt considering owners many interests in companies that will rely on his honesty and relationships with institutions to grow.

It looks to me as though a floor is building around 930-940. This has been a ceiling and a floor for around two years now. A red line on the advfn chart today runs along the peaks and troughs. It was a ceiling in 2015 and again in 2016.It has provided a floor over the past few months.I'm not a very good chartist but I recall there is technical clues in such a chart. Help anyone?

well over 10.00 after interims, dropping due to no buying demand after large share offload, happened last time for quite a few weeks then nice consistent rise. its still market leading, huge cash generating, always diversifying and expanding and love the dividends.

Thanks for that. Very interesting. Gvc looks worth a punt too.
Ptec still shown as owning a healthy chunk of Plus500 from the abortive bid, but not sure that is current? PLUS doing well and buying in shares each day. Also been chunky buying this week that may well be institutional.
Anyone follow NXG (ex-ICAP)? Dunno much about it but heavy director buying this week?

GVC and PTEC

Also offering an enticing investment outlook within the same sector is Playtech(LSE: PTEC). The provider of gaming software is forecast to post a bottom line rise of 27% in the current year, followed by further growth of 11% next year. While these rates of growth may seem rather high, demand for the company's products and services continues to grow. As such, it could deliver double-digit growth over a sustained period.

With Playtech trading on a PEG ratio of just 1, it appears to offer a wide margin of safety. Even if its outlook is downgraded in the short run, its shares could still offer capital growth over the medium term.

As well as its growth and value appeal, Playtech also has strong income prospects. It currently yields 3.4% from a dividend which is covered 2.3 times by profit. This suggests that dividends could increase at a faster pace than profit over the medium term - without putting the company under financial difficulty.

Increase in FTSE investability weighting (80.93% to 92.431692283357%) as a result of the placing takes effect tomorrow. Will mean tracker funds increasing their holdings. Could be extra volume in the closing auction today.

I bought 3 equal tranches late 2014/5 & 16. The last after big drop following Sagi sale. Now sitting on handsome profit, so share price has moved up well. Happy to stay on board and may add on further dip

Blueclyde, you are possibly looking at FY results published on 23 February. There were reasons for the flat Adjusted Net Profit.
Figure did not include GBP 75 Million from Ladbrokes. Another reason was that PTEC reports in Euros and Sterling had crashed before FY Report date, making YoY comparison misleading.

In spite of many acquisitions, nearly 300 Million cash was returned to shareholders, illustrating they have ample cash.

You may find PTEC's summary slides helpful:

The most recent trading update was rather positive:

"I am delighted to say that Playtech is delivering a strong performance in 2017 driven by organic growth and recent strategic acquisitions."

Is anyone here into Crossrider?

Sagi's latest AIM company.

Israeli digital marketing company (web-browser optimiser). Has its UK office in Camden Stables Market - a Sagi-owned complex.

Manic, he can spot future winners - online porn and gambling, payment systems. He's been piling into London real estate and flexible hubs - hope you are following him.

From RNS:
"... in particular, to help finance a significantly increased focus on real estate and real estate related investments in respect of flexible working hubs and e-commerce."

His success has not always been within the law though. He has operated illegally in many countries, has served jail time in Israel for bribery and insider trading, and the USA authorities would like to meet with him.

Shaker, it was predicted :)
15 June post:
"Sagi wants to move faster now as illustrated by the lock-up agreements. The previous 6-month lock-up was broken within 3 months and the new one is only around 10 weeks, which has already expired at the end of May so we may well see another sale soon."

We've been told PTEC has a Sagi discount applied -because the Sagi name (heritage) might prevent PTEC's expansion into select markets, or the award of new business.

As Sagi continues to exit the discount has to dissipate imo. Personally I'm Team Sagi. It's quite an incredible business he's built here. Boy done good.

The shares were placed at a significant discount but importantly, Bickington and down to just over 6% of the shares and institutions have snapped up the rest.

This is good news moving forward but inevitably there will be a short term dip.
